livepluslife: Please efamily, I wouldn't say I am new here cos I asked a question sometimes last year concerning the evaluation of WAEC result with seven years work exp as an Administrative Assistant. But with the EE, do U think I stand a chance since some of the Noc requires skull cert. eg Office admin assistant, logistics N supply chain, retail sales etc (skill level B &C) Although, I have tried other means of migrating to Canada but got refused Twice. Your 2 cent will be highly appreciated. Thanking U in advance |

1) Please is advisable to start Police Clearance for U.S.A now it takes 14 -16 weeks 2) Does anyone know how to get U.S.A Police Clearance in Lagos, CIC does not accept third party FBI report. Thanks |

walesege: Wale your questions are a little bit confusing and you need to clarify what exactly you are trying to do. You cannot possibly get a USA police clearance in Nigeria. Did you stay in the USA and you now need a police clearance certificate? |

Hi guys, I have a friend who is a software developer that wants to apply for EE. Due to the issues he is having with his boss, he does not want to ask for a recommendation letter from him. However, he has someone that has a registered IT company that is willing to give him a letter as his employer(though he has never worked there before). The thing is that he is very skilled but then he is a bit scared about the whole idea. What do you guys advice I tell him to do. |

walesege: I now understand what you mean. Unfortunately you cannot get a US clearance certificate in Lagos as the only acceptable clearance certificate is the FBI issued one. You would have to apply to the FBI with a set of your fingerprints. I would advise that you get your fingerprints taken in a police station in Nigeria in order to ensure that you get valid fingerprints. I got my US clearance certificate before this new 14 weeks development. The earlier you send your request to the FBI, the better. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/submitting-an-identity-history-summary-request-to-the-fbi http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp The links above should help |

Chukky77: @Chukky77....dont mind this Nigerian banks with their unqualified staff that knows nothing about banking....if they want to let you know they will..how did others get to know from their banks?..my consultant lawyer went to the bank and confirmed the DD was cashed cos he raised it with the bank....when did you submit your application and when was it received?i will advise you place a call to CIC and ask for your UCI number so that you use it to check your ECAS status |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by gentleiphy: 9:49pm On Jan 20, 2015 |
sevule: i will advise now that you are waiting for MR to try and augment the balance in your account because AVO may or may not ask for POF update..its better to be prepared than not and end of loosing what has taken you time to prepare. |

Good-day all, and thanks to all those that have been contributing to this thread. I am new here, I am a Doctor of Optometry(inducted 6months ago). I'm currently doing my housemanship here in Nigeria. I will love to move to Canada afterwards. Please I need answers to some questions: What do I need to apply for EE? 1. What is the cost? 2. I read minimum work experience is 1year. Is that true for me since am currently doing internship? 3. Aside the cost, is there any extra money I need in my account? 4. How long does it take to process my application? 5. Heard IELTS exam result last for just one year, is it true? 6. I need explanation on ECA Thanks in anticipation for your favourable response. P.S I have family members I can stay with there I am single. My NOC is 3121, level A. I dont have international passport yet. Am 25years old |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Meritl: 7:21am On Jan 21, 2015 |
Chukky77: Hi Shokky, sorry Chuckky. Just the day I planned making efforts to see when and if my draft was debited, was the day my PER arrived. I largely suspect that if you've not received a rejection email or mail and by estimates, applicants around your date of application have perhaps started receiving alerts or long received alerts, is an indication that you'll make it. I.e. get a PER. That was how I consoled myself while waiting. If I start giving you advice to calm down, it will sound as if I am a pro, because I did panic while waiting for the PER mail. Just to let you know that on the day I received the PER, I bought #2,000 recharge card to call the CIO. Before dialling their number, I just decided to check my mail; behold there was the PER mail. In summary, I will advice you just relax even if I know its difficult. CHEERS |
