You just have to keep practicing and understand the numerical even if it takes you the last day to attempt it! You can go thru the questions (during practice) solve each question yourself and check the solution immediately (don't solve the whole questions before checking the solutions). Do this for the a day and make sure you understand the solutions and why it appears so!

The next day you can then solve all the questions yourself again without looking at the solutions till when you are done. Mind you don't be "too" time conscious.

Well stop wondering how they want you guys to answer such questions...pwc wants the best and the brightest...that can keep up with the work challenges in PwC. Whatever can make you defeat those shl questions would make you defeat theoretical work issues...

Thanks again. But in the shl practice questions in the website they are no solutions. If you have the ones that have solutions can you please email it to me. @gmail.com. Thanks alot

Thanks a lot for sharing. Hopefully I'll do mine today. Verbal first. I'm seriously having problem with the numerical test. Every time I attempt the practice questions, I get defeated and its killing my morale. I wonder how they want us to answer those kind of questions its so confusing. But anyhow God dey. I pray for success

Hmmm, one man's meat is another man's poison. While the numerical section seems pretty much easy to me, my challenge is the verbal. Well we will keep pushing until we get it right.

Please is it advisable we take the test in the last week or last few days. Someone here advised against it and and just not to be ignorant want to know if there are repercussions.

If u did very well in d verbal section of ur GRE, then u wouldn't have issue with SHL verbal cos it's easier that GRE verbal. However, u still need to practice to get familiar with d question format if u haven't written SHL test before.

For d SHL numerical, it's similar to d graphical analysis questions of d GRE. You can do a timed practice test from www.assessmentday.co.uk to get a real reflection of d question types for shl numerical. The numerical practice test on shldirect website isn't a true reflection of the real test. You can also do free verbal practice test on www.assessmentday.co.uk

In conclusion, for u to excel in shl, u just need to practice n practice with d right thing. SHL is one of the simple online job test as d format is well known.

....and remember to write ur test on time. Please avoid writing the test on d LAST day. Some of u may encounter issues while trying to take the test, such issues can be resolved by Shl only when you have few days to d deadline. Buh if u are taking ur test on d last day n run into such hitch, na sorry be ur case case they won't attend to ur case considering d fact that there won't be enough working days to resolve it.

I wish everyone writing the test success

Cheers!

Hi please how was your GRE, please explain thoroughly as i am writing mine in Feb.
Thank you.

@. personally, d gre is d hardest thing I hv ever written. I prepared 4 30days with at least 6hrs/day. u shd learn new vocabularies n if u hv an android phone u can download magoosh flashcards on play store, learn a few words at a time tho cos those words can easily giv u headache if u spend more than an hr at a time. for verbal, I strongly advise u to use preston review but their quant is so simple compared to what u'll get in d exam. u will get all d materials u need on 4shared, just register n search.

4 d writing section, please kindly follow preston's review advice, those guys teach a very effective strategy. u might want 2 improve ur typing but don't overstress abt it, u will type faster if u r confident about wat u wnt to type.

on exam day, dey will tell u u hv 1minute 2 'rest' btw each sections, believe me, u will hv upto 5 minutes as d time doesn't just automatically starts counting down. also, u'l write d exam in d proper sitting posture n dis might actually improve ur time. use d rough paper even 4 verbal n don't forget ur passport. abeg prepare well o, 195 doz at #208 to d doz no b play play.

abeg, Pwc peopo, mk una no vex say we deviate.
