Guys, my Lumia 520 isn't reading my memory card,..ive tried different memory cards nd I've checked the memory card port, which looks ok...what do I do? If d only option is to soft reset,
1)please tell me how to go about It.
2) how to do it without loosing my downloaded apps
Other memory cards work on it right?

To soft reset, hold the power button and volume down button for about 15 seconds until you feel a vibration. Try removing your memory card before doing this. .

man that's serious.
what OS are you?

If you are on cyan, check file manager to see if the SD CARD is even detected at all.

try soft resetting too by holding down the power+ volume down keys.

its been impossible for me to upgrade my phone to the next OS (still in Lumia black), the metre goes halfway then stops with an error code. Someone suggested I reset my phone and try again but doing so could wipe off my downloaded apps and that's why I need a soft reset.

Try to do the upgrade on a WiFi with fast speed. I encountered such before and had to go about it that way.

Someone please help with the cost of fixing Lumia 630s' screen.

I changed a broken L520 screen yesterday for #2,500 (yes, 2k5). So L630 may not be more than 4k or 5k.

guy pls anytime i cange my region to united kingdom jus to use catona on m l520 it keep changing my country code to +444 pls wat do i do

Go to SETTINGS and scroll to language and region. Change both to UK, or US preferably. It requires you restart your device at that instance for the settings to take.

if you're good with handling screw drivers and phone parts, its an added advantage...i bought my Lumia 520 screen touch for 1k and I fixed it myself... You should get get the screen for as low as 6k..,I'd advice you not to go to slot, they are thieves.., they charged me 8k to fix that same touch screen few months ago. So I'd advice u to buy d part u want to fix urself and take it to either alaba or ikeja

After doing a hard reset (in which I lost all my downloaded apps but no buggy) I have finally been able to update my phone (cyan for now). The performance so far has been impressive I must say but I'd like to ask for suggestions on a good app I can use for downloading songs direct to my memory card since UCweb was a nightmare to me

hehe!!! Welcome to the family of cyan. You'll soon go for denim. Since my phone only has internal memory, I normally use internet explorer and it saves mp3 files directly to the music folder. Try your native browser and see if it will request for where you'll save the your downloads.

I'm using only internet explorer for now, when I had ucweb, I discovered that files I downloaded started corrupting my SD card whereby any song I transferred even from a laptop would start multiplying till I would have up to 50 copies of a particular song

ok, I get now.
But is the quality exactly same with the original. (the original one is a scratch resistant glass.

and how much do you think it will cost to replace my volume up key? (a repairer ruined it by not screwing up the phone properly, leading to stress on the key)
I'm thinking of selling the phone, but the button is almost totally unresponsive these days.

I think the problem has been rectified a bit with cyan.
It still happens, but not as serious as in previous iterations.

yup yup... I don't use a screen protector for it... Lol, funny thing is, my volume up key is bad too. It would cost you 500naira to fix it.. Buh be careful who you give to repair it, cuz if the technician accidentally burns the I.C of the button in the process, then its over...i fixed mine in one of d road side kiosks around my area
