Embassy for interview or legalisation? Pls clarify this
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 2:36pm On Feb 06, 2015
This will be the first step to take. You have to take the letter they've given you, and your certificates to the Embassy for something called Pre-Enrolment. You will go there with your documents certified by the Min of Edu, Min of Ext Affairs, have it translated to Italian and in the case of your certs awarded in Nigeria, you'll have to do it there at the Italian Embassy. You have to start this process ASAP as the processing can take a long period of time. Though you do not need the DOV at this time nor will you need it at the time of Visa Application, you'll definitely need it in Italy either at the time of Final enrollment or at the beginning of your second academic year (mandatory). So to be on a safer side, do your documents legalization now alongside the DOV.

And I forgot to add, the Pre-Enrolment starts somewhere around May... and it ends in June, last week of June, you hear back from the embassy in July (this is when they've heard back from your UNI in Italy) and then you proceed to do the Visa Application last week of July or First of August. In September, the final enrolment process starts through to somewhere in October.

I have not gotten any admission yet. I'm trying to avoid rush when application starts at Italian embassy. So, it's better to be proactive.

It still doesnt stop you from working on your documents, if you read the beginning of this thread however you will see that i for one adopted a different approach which worked equally well for me but then a ready DV will increase your chances at admission (that is if your grades are good enough)

Do as Superior advised. Italian Schools are ready to admit you so far you meet there requirement. The embassy is very slow, so it is better you make hail while the sun shine to avoid rush.

I understand your view smiley but I'm a man who has trained his mind to see good in every situation. Meanwhile, I would like to know how you manage to live in Milano as a student from Non EU state? Living cost, job etc.
I'm just curious. I would like to know so many things...

The money the Italian government has spent on me without knowing my papa, i dont think my government can ever do the same. You should get the drift by now. Besides, am in Torino not Milano. Just two hours by train.

Bro, I'm really thinking aloud grin how person go survive residing in expensive city like Milano, being a student? I'm particularly concerned about expenses but I'm one stubborn guy who never give up. smiley

newacca, you have no reason to worry.
As long as people like Pelumi dey NL and dem dem still dey ITALY, nothing does you smiley
And as I see you, you don't easily give up, do you ? I like the fact that you're being proactive way before you even receive an admission (tres bien- very well). Italy will always admit you concerned your marks achieved are impressive.

Best of luck, bro.
