You will deceive yourself if u think that Bihari can ever continue with YouWin. Just pray that you won't be forced to vomit your tranche 1. I never do politic but I just have to wake up to reality & start working for Goodluck. That is the only way we can secure our 2nd & 3rd tranches. The earlier we stop deceiving ourselves that we want to be apolitical the better!

Then it seems we are awake to different realities. I am not against you, I just disagree with you. Thats all.

This may sounds a little selfish. But in your own interest, you all both YOU WIN 3 & 4 applicants should vote Good Luck. Trust me, nobody is playing on you fears. If Buhari comes in, forget it. Don't forget the program can be stopped by the govt. without notice. So nothing can compel him to see it through. You all do what u can. The devil you know,......

For the interest of the country I am voting for GMB. If you want to turn this thread into a political thread then lets go there.

Why not quickly refund your YouWiN fund and opt out of the programme. Which government in d history of Nigeria has ever raised youths as millionaire without godfather.
Since you know Buhari will NOT continue with YouWin & u still want to vote him.
Posterity will question everyone that enjoy YouWin under Goodluck and don't care if it continue or not.
As it is written "He that repays good with evil, evil will never depart from his house".
For the sake of Nigeria, the future of the youths that Goodluck administration is raising through his various policies in YouWin, Sure-P, Agropreneures, GIS, YouWin SME etc; I will vote for Goodluck, work for Goodluck & massively mobilise votes for him. Just for the future of the Youths.

If you are a YouWiN awardee, please help us respond to this question. There are funny gists spreading in the news, possibly for political reasons. You can tell us the truth about the YouWiN programme.

IS YOUWIN TRUE? IS THE FG PROJECT ACHIEVING RESULTS?

In the comments section of BeyondYouWiN, tell us whether you and/or your business has benefited from YouWiN and how. Have you been able to employ people? Is the YouWiN achieving her primary aim through you?

Click the link to know what they are saying and make your comment:

Just as we have shun religion on nairaland, this election should NOT be about religion but the future of the youths who are the future of this country.
Having benefited from YouWin. Am set to do everything in my power to ensure this programme that is raising our youths from grass to grace continue at least till 2019 so that more youths can be raised as millionaires without godfather and that is only possible if Goodluck continue.
Haba, haba this is what has never happen in the history of Nigeria. The trend has always been the rich getting richer while the poor keep getting poorer.
Haba, it has always been that our father pack their slippers and we must also pack their children slippers.
But Goodluck is changing the trend through his youth focused policy yet you benefited and you are bold to say u will vote GMB.
Think twice and reconsider your stand.
I will work and vote for Goodluck for the sake of the future of other youths.
Only that it painful that I didn't start working 4 Goodluck on time, but now that I have woken up to reality I have started mobilising votes heavily for Goodluck.

Chairman in as much as I admit that Youwin is good and laudable I have my own reasons for casting my choice in an election. And Youwin is not enough to convince me to cast my vote otherwise.

Why don't we try and accept the fact that we can go through the same experience and yet still have different opinion about the same thing?

Cast your votes for whomever you like and I will cast mine for whomever I believe. And you dont need to start raining any curses or try to make me feel guilty.

Pls let us leave hate out of this. I appreciate your point of view and I really wish we can move on ammicably without any ill feeling.

The fact remains that YouWin cannot be separated from politics now.
Because it is politics that will determine the continuity.
The programme is under political dispensation.
The regime under which the programme as well as numerous other youth focused merit based programmes were initiated has been heavily criticized due to political reasons.
The programme itself has been rubbished and thrown into trash can by different politicians, yet we all know that the programme is very effective, credible & the best thing to ever happen to Nigerians.
Those of us who are beneficiary that are suppose to rise to defend the programme have been quiet just because we don't want to dable into politics.
The administration under which YouWin has been initiated have been branded complete failure, & that they have done nothing for political reasons.
Ha, we cannot bite the finger of the politician that feeds us and has been used of God to make us millionaires.
We have been saying that YouWin should NOT be politicized, yet Goodluck himself has been using the YouWin to campaign, then where did we get the notion that YouWin should be completely separated from politics? By the way is it not politician that initiated the programme? Are opposition parties not washing down the YouWin programme.
In as much as Goodluck himself is campaigning with YouWin and opposition parties are attacking YouWin to discredit Goodluck administration, it is pertinent that we the beneficiary rise to defend the YouWin programme as well as the regime that initiated it.
I REPEAT
I WILL VOTE GOODLUCK
I WILL WORK FOR GOODLUCK
I WILL MASSIVELY MOBILISE VOTES FOR GOODLUCK.
I BELIEVE IN THE CONTINUITY OF THE YOUWIN PROGRAMME & OTHER YOUTH FOCUSED PROGRAMMES.

@Sunylee1 I doff my hat for you. We cannot keep deceiving ourselves. The fact remains that the continuity of Goodluck Jonathan is the continuity of the YouWiN programme and other Youth focused programmes.
But just come to think of it, the administration that has done for us what has NEVER happen in Nigeria we will be ingrate if we dont vote for Goodluck.

As at the time I knew Buhari will be the major opposition against Goodluck I knew that we need to work and ensure Goodluck finish his second term if only we want this YouWin programme to continue.

How can I get money running into millions (grant that I will NEVER pay back) from an administration without the usual norms of man-know-man and I will NOT vote for that same administration to continue.

This is wickedness of the highest order. I dont care the reason any YouWin awardee has that will warrant them to vote Goodluck.
Let me ask the following questions?
1. Was it not during Buhari's past regime that Umaru Dikko said that Nigerians were yet to eat from dustbin?
2. Was it not Goodluck that implemented the N18,000 minimum wages from N7,000?
3. Was it not Goodluck that increased NYSC allowance from migre N7,500 to whooping N18,500 giving more hope to our youths?
4. Was it not Goodluck that bring women out of kitchen where previous administration have relegated them to. Goodluck is the first Nigerian president to give women 35% participation in governance.
5. Was it not this same Goodluck that built schools for Almajiris to reduce miscreant in the society? That means he is a president for both Muslims and Christians.
6. Was it not this same Goodluck that approved and established 12 Federal Universities? So that every state can boast of a federal university and to increase the number of Jambites that gain admission, so as to reduce what parents spend yearly on JAMB. Even if the universities are not yet fully functioning, we all know that Rome was NOT built in a day.

We 3,900 YouWin Awardee are even suppose to work and mobilise vote for Goodluck, except we allow opposition party's propaganda to becloud our sense of judgment, despite the fact that we are number 1 testimony that Goodluck has a good heart for Nigerians and that he is working.

It is gross act of injustice and wickedness for any YouWin awardee not to vote Goodluck for continuity.

But does some people's conscience allow them to enjoy YouWin fund under Goodluck and still have the gut to work against Goodluck. Examine your conscience.

I have been working for Goodluck since the emergence of Buhari as a major opponent.

I am justifying my conscience because as at today I am sure I to deliver minimum of 1,500 votes to Goodluck and the number is increasing by the day and so will continue to increase till March 28 election date.

Even if Goodluck dont win and Buhari stopped the youth focused programmes, my conscience will justify me that I did my best.

Dont mind them. They kept attacking me as if it is by force to do their bidding and act against my conscience.

I was doing a transaction a few days ago and after concluding the transaction, you know what happened? The Naira to Dollar exchange further plummeted within a few hours from 209 to 213.

My transaction was destroyed because the customer was not ready to bankroll that increase, and moreover anything could still happen.

If you know how many people are becoming impoverished because of the crisis in the finance sector you will understand what I mean.

This same crisis in the finance sector may force the FG to stop paying further tranches of this same Youwin program. It is time our Government declares a red alert in our finance sector because if they dont, all the people calling ourselves millionaires as a result of this Youwin program may still find ourselves in penury.

I will cast my vote based on my own careful analysis of the general policy of the incumbent and not based on what any other person thinks or the fact that I got some money from you or not.

I have a mind of my own and anybody that has a problem with that should deal with it.

The time has come for us to have a critical eye on our leaders no matter who is there. Even if the person I voted for gets to power I will still maintain my critical stance.

A leader is not going there to play, he is going there to do serious work, they are our servant but they keep behaving like we must praise them for every little work done, even after doing half work and pillaging our resources.

All the so-called listed acheivements listed by some people above are not acheivements if corruption and insurgency cannot be contained.

I can go on and on and on but I repeat, I chose to maintain a mind of my own because at the end of the day the only reasonable asset I may have may be my own mind.

You can maintain a mind of your own but don't come here and spew trash!

You clearly lack financial intelligence and you really don't know how the fiscal and monetary system works! Its is very clear that most Nigerians shouting change are bunch of illiterates who have no mental faculty to properly analyze the problems facing us as a nation and would rather live in self denial!

For goodness sake, the currencies of major oil producers have taken a beaten since the oil prices started crashing! Russia, Angola, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, have all had a fair share of the problems and all the countries mentioned have all done what every single nation could do in the face of the circumstance! You devalue the currency in order to safe foreign reserves! What the Central Bank should even do is to totally devalue the currency rather than using our scarce reserve to artificially "fix the exchange rate". The real value of the naira to the dollar is around N250/$.

Secondly the value of a country currency is not a measure of the economy growth! Japan, China all have devalued currency in order to encourage exports and discourage imports! Nigeria should tow that path!

you are busy shouting "change", you should remember a few things before you dive into an ocean that will swallow you! Did egyptians, Tunisia, Libya,Yemen, shout change! what did they get? What we need is progressive change my friend! It is foolhardy for anyone to believe that the bunch of thugs propagating the message of change today are not devils! My friend go and look at what is happening in Lagos today and see how it has become the personal estate of one man!

You need to examine yourself properly and make a rational decision that posterity will judge you right!

This election cannot and must not be reduced to only two issues! We have myriads of problems facing us. The change we seek is here already! #forwardNigeria.

For issues relating to insecurity! I don't want to talk much, I was born in the north and grew up there and I do business there! I know how it pains! However Most Nigerians lack a sense of history, they easily forget! The real issues of Boko Haram did not start today! It only festered now! The north needs to stop deceiving ourselves and face the truth! We are the architect of what is happening and will keep happening if there is no radical changes made both in the political and religious spheres. How long did their leaders think they could continue to deceive their masses on the alter of religion and ethnicity?

GEJ will try his best! However he can only do as best as his abilities permits under the current realities!

Nigeria has been bedeviled by corruption even before independence! #GEJ is trying his best! You don't expect him to end corruption in 4 years and 11 Months!
