Oshodi Isolo axis. I have been going since Dec till date. Have gone to the council, later to the school now at the council. They said 2011 cards have not been printed. This must be a tactical way of disenfranchising some citizens to favour someone.

I am a witness to this. It is happening right now in Amuwo Odofin L.G.A of Lagos State, especially Oriade LCDA. If your name has anything like "Chi " or so getting your PVC from them will be a difficult task. I know one APC man who is in charge of collecting/hoarding PVCs belonging to non-indigens in the area.

please inform INEC about this development.

A lot of INEC officials are generally overworked and thus impatient. I am an ibo man, and I was WELL attended to by a Yoruba INEC staff. I also witnessed crude behaviour towards some Yorubas who came looking for their PVCs by Yoruba speaking INEC workers.

Let's not misconstrue simple lack of courtesy and public relations by a few INEC staff to mean conspiracy to disenfranchise an entire ethnic group in Lagos.

MY GOD! THIS IS PURE EVIL... IF PDP SHOULD LOSE THE PRESIDENTIAL OR GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS IN LAGOS, I WILL BLAME THEM FOR NOT ACTING WISE.
PLAY THIS GAME THE DIRTY WAY AND DAMN THE CONCEQUENCES.
PDP SHOULD GO AHEAD AND RIG THIS ELECTION IF THEY WANT TO.

PDP MUST NOT LOSE THE PRESIDENTIAL AND GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS IN LAGOS.

ENOUGH SAID.

Fake links created by your fellow yeebos to deceive, lie and blackmail INEC. Send me any of the links from punch, vanguard, guardian, thisday and so on before we believe this fake news.
You are such a pathetic fool, there were many links/sources that were provided yet you are still talking nonsense! So you believe an article only when it is written by punch? Such a buffoon! People raised alarm about this issue sometime ago yet APC people did not allow them to air their frustration. Is this blatant & obviously state sponsored disenfranchisement of eligible voters the kind of oppressive government APC will run peradventure they win? God forbid!

The act keeps going on till today. When people started alleging this act was going on by INEC Jega initially denied it was happening. INEC itself have been bought over by APC, that's why they are able to give PVCs to iyalojas and traditional rulers who normally should have no business with INEC.

It quite shameful that this is happening in Lagos! It is probably happening in other places too.

This is disenfranchisement in a state that claims to be fighting for change; claiming to be progressive. It's visible to blind and audible to the deaf that all the clamour, slogan, movement and mantra are all fake

This disposition by nefarious elements in lagos could have a ripple effect in other states and has the tendencies of provoking violent protests and agitation.

While in another news the APC vice presidential candidate is talking about state of residence law. What a hoax!!

..I am not surprised to learn that some INEC staff has been sacked for withholding the PVc's of NON-INDIGENS clearly in connivance with their APC masters in Lagos state..that is what some of us has been saying all these while..

...the best political move by PDP was to postpone this election till next month..otherwise these gangsters that make up the APC would have criminally sidelined millions of voters in Lagos so that their evil party can win unchallenged..while chanting 'change' all over the place like hungry bus conductors..

...APC and change my left foot!..clowns.

This is so shameful, despicable & condemnable. It goes to show that APC & the evil change they are talking about is as fake as Nigeria being a country. GEJ must do something about this wicked act capable of causing break down of law and order & also, activities in all APC controlled states must be monitored overtly & covertly since it has become apparent that APC is not interested in free & fair election, they should remember that they started this shit when they are outmanoeuvred & out-rigged by the PDP.

GEJman:
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos State, on Wednesday, said it had relieved two members of a community it engaged for the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) of their assignment.

This was contained in a statement signed by Femi Akinbiyi, the commission’s Head of Public Affairs in the state.

It said the two persons were found to have denied a few non-indigenes the chance to collect their cards in the state.

The statement said: “The records we have at our disposal, and they are available for all to see, indicate that Lagosians of different ethnic backgrounds have been coming forward to collect their cards.

“To be sure, the bulk of the ad hoc staff engaged for the distribution exercise are NYSC members who come from different ethnic backgrounds.

“With such diverse backgrounds, among whom a substantial number of them are non-indigenes, it is most unlikely that they would embark on discriminating against non indigenes like themselves.

“Our findings, however, revealed that in few places where we did not have the full complement of NYSC members, some members of the community, whom we engaged for the exercise, two of them were found to have denied a few non-indigenes the collection of their cards.

“We have consequently relieved them of this assignment.”

The statement said INEC regretted whatever embarrassment the incident might have caused the affected members of the public.

It thanked those who drew the commission’s attention to the act.

It added: “We are by this press release stating that no INEC official, permanent or ad hoc, has been engaged to give cards to people from only one part of the country while denying others their legitimate right of collecting their cards.

“All INEC staff are under firm instructions to give the PVCs to their rightful owners.”

According to the statement, no money is to be demanded or given in doing so.

It urged the public to be vigilant and assist the commission in drawing its attention to any breach of its guidelines by anyone, including its staff members.

The statement said the distribution of the PVCs would continue at the 20 local government offices of the commission in the state till March 8.

It urged those who had not collected theirs to avail themselves of this extension to collect their PVCs.

... so because Igbos are not the only victims, they should not raise an alarm if their rights are denied them?

Independent Nigeria Electoral Commission - Buhari.
That is equally correct. Only you and I know that it is our national commission. So how do you specify the exact country since most countries do have Independent Electoral Commissions?.A lot of people fail to realise that Buhari speaks good english and well articulated and talks sensibly. What I like about him is his composure when granting interviews, takes his questions slow and steady.
