Now to visit the embassy for legalisation or visa application u need to book an appointment on their website - www.conslagos.esteri.it/Consolato_Lagos. Without booking an appointment u won't be allowed thru d gate. Even if u were given an appointment by hand before, it is invalid. Everything now is online. It is a good development but in their usual manner, the embassy failed to inform its old clients, so u come and they bounce u. No form of email or text msg was sent to educate us on d change. That's very unfair. Imagine pple coming from Ibadan, Benin etc only to be sent home that d system has changed. It ought to have been a continuous process. I'm not impressed at all with the manner in which they did what they did.

@pelumvic.

I like the way you help out here.

I am an expatriate with Eni Italy. I have not met decent folks here still but
you come across as a smart and focused individual.

Which city are you in?

please I need your help , last year I got admission into florence design academy, Firenze. I was told to pay the tuition fee 6000 euros (I've paid), I was to collect my student visa this year jan 21 but I was told to go to milverton (fraud unit) for a fake account statement ,which I also found out its fake ,I've been to fraud unit and my documents weren't there, they told me I have to go back to the consulate on getting there I found out that the embassy didn't take it there for some reasons ,now d sch has started a month ago and have been trying to book online ,they haven't replied me.

Is there a format or way to apply online?

And now that I have an authentic bank statement with me,what should I do ?

Please help a brother.

Let me get you better, do you mean you submitted a fake statement of account when applying for visa or what?

You submitted fake documents, yet you seem to think that things will go on like nothing happened!
Don't know for sure about Italy (Shengan) but in UK or USA you would have 10 year ban now.

well same applys for schegen , the thing is I didn't submit it knowing it was a fake document, I have proofs to back it up, I only need to get to them and clarify my self, and right now I have authentic account statement
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by worry359(m): 11:58am On Mar 04, 2015
Any document submitted ts taken that you knew what it was.
No good trying stories about "agent" or "a friend" or mistake.
You are found guilty of fake documents.

I don't know what proofs you have but I will advice you ask for a refund of tutions paid from that school and forget about schegene countries for a very long long time. I applied with an account balance of 850k in 2012 without paying anything and still got the visa, whoever gave you the advice to submit a fake doc is your bitter enemy.

and to make tins look sumhw, the embassy still has my documents... I've tried bookn an appointment online but no response

Unfortunately as @worry359 said, you are regarded to be knowingly involved in this fraud and this your proof MAY not be adequate so like I told you, write and get a refund of your tution. Ask Italian embassy to return your docs although I suspect you may not get any including your passport (which will likely be sent to Nigerian Immigration) back

Yes the normal situation is that your documents will be retained or destroyed and your passport returned to Nigerian officials.
(Just hope that they do not loose it!)

Bros your case is really complicated. The best thing to do is to talk to them at the embassy.

Congratulations on your admission. Please when did you apply and for which session? I am considering more options as I have already gotten some schools to apply to, but most of the schools' admission policy for non-eu residents is to apply through the Italian embassy and I don't think the embassy has opened application here. Abeg I need update ooo. grin

ABEG O, IF YOU HAVE LIST OF UNIVERSITIES ACCEPTING APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE FOR THE YEAR 2105/2016 SHLD PLS TELL US. I KEEP SEEING THE ONES THAT SAYS WE SHOULD APPLY THOUGH ITALY EMBASSY IN OUR HOME COUNTRY
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 11:57am On Mar 08, 2015
Soyedele1 and to everyone.
All Italian universities/politecnicos will ask you to apply through the embassy. IF it's a degree course and not a specialization course. Most do take applications and inform you whether you're admitted but you still have to apply again via the embassy. This is the pre-enrolment process - you go to the embassy with the same kind of documents you sent to the UNI in the first place and the Embassy sends it to UNI.

Then the School will send a list of Nigerian students that has been admitted back to the Embassy/Consulate and this is only when you can apply for your Visa.
The Pre-enrolment form "Modulo A" is the form you'll be getting from the embassy and you can only fill in one Uni and one course. No options here. This is the way they do their stuffs o. Apply to your school but the letter of admission you get is not the official one for Visa Application, it is just a go head for you to pre-enrol at the Embassy.

Thanks for the explanation. Is there any fee to be paid when applying try the embassy to a particular schl?
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Pelumiv(m): 7:55pm On Mar 08, 2015
Spot on Dan. Do not confuse yourself with what the schools says. You have to apply to the school itself first and then you take the admission letter given to you by the school to the embassy. The only fee you pay at the embassy is the legalization fee which is 110k and and 27k for DOV collection and embassy charges.

Could you please clarify if we have any chance of applying to more than one institute. Dan stated that the embassy will give us Form A, which we can only fill in one Univeristy. Does it mean we can't apply to more than a Univeristy at a time?
