Hello Everyone,

I need an advice from you. I actually am planning to put in for the Express Entry this year. I have done IELTS (SCORED 7.5) and presently processing my WES ECA. I also have applied to schools in Canada. Got admission for a PG one year programme and also an MSC admission in view. This is my question. Can both application go side by side. I feel it might be a confusion since going to study implies i have a mind of coming back while going through immigration means i want to stay there. I am a BSC Graduate, 30 years lady, married with two kids. I have 3 years experience in Accounting. I have been to two countries (Dubai and LOndon) for a visit.

My question is can i apply for both? EE and Schooling at the same time.

I think a Nigerian Topic is better for you. This is because you can use it to package your home tie in your SOP. It is capable of giving a favorable impression that you DO NOT want to stay back after your studies but instead you would like to return to contribute to national development back home grin

I will be going for a 2years Dip Course by Jan'16. So am currently collating documents(I want to go with my spouse). The estimated course fee from start to finish including accomodation and feeding for student alone is N4million. I want to sponsor my self while my husband is the co-sponsor. I have a Pension Account worth 2million, a Fixed Deposit Account of N1million, i hope to build my salary account to have a closing balance of N1million. I currently earn 150k per month after tax, I have my payslips and can get my Tax Statement. My husband has an Investment in Oil(with an evidence ) of N2Million which they give him interest per month. He is a Co-partner\Consultant of a business, and profit is shared quarterly, the profit (coy's cheque)is been paid into his account quarterly. His closing balance as at the time we will apply hopefully should be N1million. He also has a dollar account which he's been building up app 6,000dollars. We hope to present his Company's Financial Accounts, evidence of his tax payment. We have 3plots of land worth N600,000 each(receipts). We have an uncompleted building worth of N800,000. He is a Director in his Father's Business (they have an event centre worth of 10million). The dad is retired, and so he helps in managing it. Our properties are in our names while bank accounts are individual. He also plans to do an online Course (13weeks prog) from canada 2nd quarter this year. while my home tie will be taking over my mum's creche school. Please are we good to go?.thanks

please house, help a dear brother, i don't want to copy paste a statement of purpose so i write this with the guideline i got...pleas help me go through it and if there is any correction, feel free to correct me or better still u can email me @olutowo@yahoo.com. thanks

I, my name, use this opportunity to write to you on the purpose why I am interested in studying MA Economics at the University of. I am a Nigerian citizen wanting to study Economics at the Masters level. I chose Economics at this level because of the advantage it will bring to me at the future.
To start with, I had B.Sc in sociology from the University of ........ in Nigeria, where I had second class upper division and during this period I learnt about human relations, attitude and character which determine our ways of life. Albeit, after my University degree, I had another experience where the world goes round with buying and selling both locally and internationally, of which you have to know the technical know-how of the economic world. I engaged in my father’s agricultural business where we had to deal with both local and international clients who want to export these agricultural products. It is from this angle that I learnt that I have to get knowledge on the economic aspect of the business.
During my undergraduate days, I was opportune to write some economics course which gave the little knowledge I have about economic and why I want to pursue economics for my masters.
The Industrial world has opened my mind on the way things are down around the world and which one must have knowledge. For instance, the American Dollar dictate some economic strength of some nation in which Nigeria is part of and it is necessary that I know how this works so as to flow with the exporting clients that I work with.
I have written a project during my undergraduate days on the “Economic Growth and Incidence of Crime Commission” in a location in Nigeria which helps me know that our economy dictates our ways of life. Also in my agricultural business, I need to know more in depth about the economic laws that governs some situation in which am ready to learn e.g., the laws of demand and supply etc.
I choose to study MA Economics at the University of ........ because they have a strong commitment to its student success and provided a platform where its students can carryout their research wok with the help of their research supervisor. I have contacted some lecturers in the department such as Prof Tony Myatt, Prof Ted Mcdonald, Dr Paul Peters, as one of my research upervisor and am waiting for their response to these.
I look forward to securing an admission to the university and shall be grateful if this is highly considered.
Thank you.

From comments on similar post in the past, people stated that they included the deed of asignments and receipts(irrespective of the cost then) along with the survey plan. I ll advice you to back it up with those docs too.

as per all your comments they actually mean nothing to me as i was only trying to give an info to someone. i tot i stated i cudnt remember where i saw it.

if you think otherwise its okay to state it not getting into some unnecessary personal issues on a faceless forum.

You're correct to some extent but your manner of approach is rather crude, rude and uncalled for. This issue have been trashed out before like a year or two ago here. People it was actually stated in "official" government of Canada websites for respective countries that funds must be in Canada or one's country of residence. Here is the link to the Nigerian version of the site http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/nigeria/visas/faq.aspx?lang=eng
If you read through it clearly states that but then again anyone who have been on this thread for long should know that peeps have been getting visas with oversea accounts. So, anyone with plans of doing that should go ahead and not be heartbroken. And our brother here should stop been crude as well. Treat others with respect and try to present proof and facts next time instead of arguing and been abusive. All na to avoid quarrel. Thanks.

Hmnn !
What you have done is risky. Someone else might submit this even before you the real owner !!
You should have taken time to read back in order to identify individuals who are good and experience at the art of writing SOP.
You then PM (Private mail them) to assist you in proof reading. This is the mistake people make when they are too much in a hurry instead of setting out much earlier. The samples you may have seen here have been used to "chop" TRV already. If I were you, I will take this out of the public domain.I wish the very best

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by soji0509: 7:23pm On Mar 03, 2015
A million Thanks for the link. I can read this from there
"What is acceptable evidence of funds in support of my study permit application?
Proof of funds can be in the form of your certified bank statements or your sponsor’s certified bank statements accompanied by an affidavit from your sponsor confirming that they will be financially responsible for you. All funds must be in an account in Canada or in the country of your current residence. General letters of reference from banks are not sufficient. For more details, refer to the Study permit checklist."

A UNI TORONTO trained Nigerian-Canadian immigration lawyer with an immigration consultancy firm in Canada recently told me that it is IMPOSSIBLE for one's sponsor to be a non-relation. But we know that in practice and from the testimony of applicants here, that is not correct. So I have a feeling that the V.O. sometimes closes their eyes to some of the rules they consider NOT so serious.
I will rather go with honest experience of eFamily members here than be discouraged from trying.
