A set of corpers climbed this truck filled with logs of woods for transportation...
This precisely happened in Igbaja...
You are either a pampered rich kid, have not done your service yet or just not in the know.

All in the name of serving their father land. The NYSC program is another failed and notorious ambition of the former military dictator(Gowan) for the forceful unification of Nigeria. Some of them are posted in the villages that they could not understand language, culture or religious rituals. Good number of them always ended up in being raped, maimed and killed. Let everyone serve in his zone, say no to illiterate ideology.

dude you talk like it was never successful. Isn't it in this tenure of GEJ all this wahala start? It's an intelligent idea of unification by Gowon

This is what happens when one is posted to a village with no accessible and easy means of transportation, You gotta hop on those trucks carrying wood from the bush or farm produce
You have no idea where Igbaja is. Their reason for getting on that Truck is best known to them.

I do not think you have ever stepped out of your local backwater village. I think this may have contributed into a narrow mindset for you.

Kwara state is the worst place to serve, no water, no toilets, private skul pay 2k, the people see the corpers as their gods and the corpers earn more than most of them in their local govt. It was hell that I had to do *Ghost Corper* tins. The state govt is even worst than BH. Criminals everywhere

I served in Moro, I hate that state with the level of poverty in the rural areas and their blind followership of Saraki.

You need to define under development and tell us how anywhere else in Nigeria fared better than Kwara.

I spent the 1st-19th year of my life at Jebba, Moro LGA of the State. I lived at Colony to be precise and I swear, I know nothing about no light, no toilet, no water that you're talking about. This a State where a little amount gives you so much and if you're earning N19800 monthly and you can not get yourself a decent life anywhere in Moro- at least an accommodation with a good Toilet- you need help.
You are lucky your allowee was increasf a bit higher than the minimum wage, otherwise you would be earning about half the amount earned by a cleaner in the LG Office. I served in Gombe State at a time when the allowee was N9,750. No light, no water and I had to live in a "Channel 0"-round mud house. A direct contrast to what's obtainable where I was coming from, but instead of doing "ghost corps member" like you. I and my colleagues contributed to the development of that place by sinking a bole-hole. That's the spirit of NYSC.

I served in Bode Saadu but it was hell, I can't imagine the suffering people are going through there, its hell so don't paint a picture of gloom and the popular biz there is *Chemist Shop*
