Mehn this kids all looked alike, I can't even differentiate them except for their heights

Is it just me or are we having cuter kids this days.....no offense to wole and his siblings though

Wherever Wole's father is now, he would be proud, cause he raised a great man....
Because every foods available then were mostly carbohydrate, a little natural fruit unlike this generation were parents eat all types of food.

Woged2005:
Lesson:

-Don't throw away any child, because you can never tell his/her future
-Don't abuse any child, you may harden him/her and be his/her victim some day
-Don't judge by looks, it's very deceitful
-Don't discriminate against anyone, Angels appear in different forms
-Class is from within, and not outward appearance
-Useful education is not the ability to recite quotations, rather what you can contribute with your knowledge
-People who make the best speeches, pack less action. The great thinkers built the world

In all, looking at little Wole Soyinka who was not smiling from childhood and still doesn't smile, one would never think he's fit to be a celebrity, yet he is not just one, he is an institution and force to reckon with.

Where has positive role models gone in Nigeria recently, and not people showcasing naked bodies, sugar-daddies, baby-mamas, and ill-gotten riches to youths?

That's the part GEJ want every youth to toe now by going to celebrities for endorsement because he think they are the most relevant among youth..smh.

So these are the faces of "Essay" (his father) and "wild christian" (his mum) we read about in "Ake"

Men, Wild Christian looked so sophisticated as described by Wole. This picture says otherwise. Even educated people looked uneducated in those days.

His elder sister,Tinuke is a qualified nurse who worked in various government health institutions before she retired. His younger brother,Femi is a professor of Medicine at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital. He also presided over the affairs of the Nigerian Medical Association in the 80's.

NigerMan1:

His younger brother is equally great and internationally successful medical doctor and researcher. The major difference is the Prof Wole is more famous

Hmmmmm. The parents really tried. Never knew he had such successful siblings. Reminds me of the Anikulapo kuti family. Just like Wole Soyinka, Fela's international popularity somehow overshadowed the brilliance of prof Olikoye Ransome-kuti.

Wole Soyinka's Mum, Grace Eniola Soyinka, is from the Ransome-Kuti Family. Professor Wole Soyinka and Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti are Cousins. Wole Soyinka's Mother ( Grace Eniola Soyinka ) and Fela's Mother ( Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti ) were very close and they were both activists. They both led demonstrations in Abeokuta that led to the abdication of the King of the City back in the days. You can't talk of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti without talking about Eniola Soyinka. Cheers.
