Thats the difference between me and you. You get your info from where ever but i get my info from

hands on experience. You cannot play crysis titles on full res with an intel igp without the it down.

Its just not done... Far cry? yes. Battlefield? maybe.

A 4th gen core i5 or i7 with a 2 Gb Nvidia graphics card is better than an AMD a10.

A 4th gen core i7 4700MQ with Intel HD 4600 without a graphics card is better than an AMD a10

AMD a10 is better than a core i7 4200u without a graphics card.

the amd a10 (latest version) is faster than the i7 4700mq without gpu ( in gaming). only thing u got wrong. intel hasnt reached amd's level of graphics outting yet.

nb: i stand corrected...the intel iris pro trades blows with the latest a10

Just ran Batman Arkham asylum on max with the intel HD 4600 GPU and although it was playable, it wasn't what I'd consider smooth. That game has amazing graphics for its time though.

Currently unpacking Far Cry 4, let's see how it goes.

Yeah you are very right. I just checked the benchmarks for the latest AMD A10 7850k with the AMD Radeon R7 GPU. It's pretty cool and run the latest games very well in 1366 by 768 resolution.

No particular reasons tho but i saw on some forums that the 850M can be tweaked to out-perform the 770M by overclocking it and some other stuff like dat.

Bro haba, the 770M is a better GPU than the 850M na, I do a lot of laptop comparisons and I have compared several HP envy PCs with the 850M installed with my Toshiba Qosmio and trust me, the 770M is much better. Don't let the model numbers and release dates confuse you bro.

Hmmmn. Nice 1 tho. Not bad. Checked out ur thread and saw dat there re lots of Nigerians who actually game on PCs. But majority of them dont actually know what it takes to actually game on a PC. They think u can just get any kind of PC and play any game on it. Loool saw one guy who said he had like intel pentium 4 and 1gig RAM and actually wanted to play games which proves what Kimco, Kenomobola & I were saying few weeks back dat majority of Nigerians know nothing about PC gaming which is why the market is so stagnant and PC hardwares are so rare in these parts. True over reliance on internet benchmarks isn't really the way to go especially notebookcheck benchmarks but it's safe to say they can be used as a guide in knowing which GPUs suit ur needs

Let me try to get the game first, started the 45GB download but it keeps having errors(reached 43% and had the download roll back to 18% on IDM) so if I can get it elsewhere, I'd be cool with that.

Yea, swift has an unlimited plan that let's you download with no limits at night so you can browse and do light downloading during the day and then switch it up to the heavy stuff at night.

What download speeds do you get with smile? Technically my internet is unlimited so if you really had some good games that you want, I can help you download them, and we can defo swap games if you are in Lagos.

My Smile speed is set at 21Mbps which is about 2-5MBps. I stay in IB and i wont be coming to Lagos any time soon. But thanks anyway.

I use swift and they have two offerings that let you download unlimited at night while using the regular data package during the day. You can also use MTN BIS on android though as that is unlimited as well.

When it comes to cpu benchmarking I try to see things for myself. Like when I had my core 2 duo, gamespot forum members told me it won't be smooth enuff. Turns out they were somehow wrong (ofcos they were using 1440p monitors with everything on ultra so in dat sense they were ryt). My gpu ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same damn time.
cos in most games, the gpu is king.

However with the gpus, they are almost spot on. before I bought my new gpu, after selliing my old gpu I gamed on my igp intel hd 4000. I did that for one day and vowed never to do that again. I saw the absolute difference, esp on my 1080p samsung sync master. Even on low my gpu had a better look than the igp. And u have not seen smooth until u actually game using a gpu. This is why I ask those who claim to run their next gen games on "smooth" on their intel igp to post benchmarks using the "fraps" software. Can't be too hard.

Also most laptop monitor have horrible colors, contrast, gamma (watever) and viewing angle....running at less than half the resolution of a 1080p monitor. This is why I mostly advice against laptops. Unless it's an expensive gaming one.

I can't really as I don't have experience with a lot of Samsung devices. Also the BIS trick I was talking about happens to have been stopped the day after I mentioned it.

Forget! As far as PC games is concerned Nigeria isn't gettin on any map. The whole Africa sef isn't going anywhere. Africa represented by SA were not allowed to compete in the recent COD: AW world tournament for reasons best known to Activision & square Enix. They dont even have dedicated servers for online multiplayer in Africa. My point is Africa not just Nigeria ll always be at the bottom of the gaming ladder.
