hahahahaha!! So you took pictures of Iyana Ipaja after it rained claiming the road is bad? I pass Iyana Ipaja at least twice a week and I am yet to see any bad road in that area. Why do you have to lie?
Because of this thread,I will take pictures of Iyana Ipaja and counter your thread.

We ll hold you to your promise

Lying is an habit for you lot? That picture is never ever Iyana Ipaja. Epic fail.

Its iyana ipaja, just by the bridge/roundabout and precisely those pics were taken right from the complex accommodating Ambra Royal bookshop...but that pic was immediately after a heavy rain, partly caused by drainage blockages around the garage and market. i bet the flood will disappear 10mins after the rain.
APC is really trying in Lagos state, sure PDP would'nt have done better.

I guess you need a Phd in a geography related course to know what a flash flood after heavy rainfall means.

For the OP arguing what the proximity to the Atlantic ocean has to do with this, Lagos falls into the Mangroove swamp (at least most part of it). Iyana Ipaja might be far away from the ocean which might suggest (But in geographical terms it is not really that far) Tropical rain forest with rainfall all around the year and due to its proximity to the sea, we expected that the South Western Trade wind will be a lot more stronget here hence bring hydrated winds and cloud formation will be easy. Thesr means that the region Iyana Ipaja is (between the mangroove and the rain forest) will not just get rain all year round buy a lot of rain in terms of individual volume too.

You can not hold back the flood but you can damn well channel the watet away after the rain. From the picture, it is clear that the rain just stopped, I will love to see that same place after 1 hour of taking those pictures

You get sense, bro. I like people with intellectual prowess like you.

No that's at best Ile Epo not Iyana Ipaja. Iyana ipaja that I have always routed since 1999 has never been like this even after rain fall.

However, even if it is, why take the picture after rain fall? Why use one particular place to judge the whole Lagos?

As it is not Iyana Ipaja, I just asked 4 people who know it well, everyone said it is not, many people on here confirmed it is not, what business is this evil thread doing on the home page? What investigation has Seun and his admins done before putting this on a place as big as nairaland?

I know they will end up banning me today but the truth has to be said, Seun and his moderators are being unnecessarily one sided and it is not fair.

Ban me, make sure it is a long ban. You will soon run out of people to ban. Matter of time.

Lagos is overhyped, yet thousands of people move day and night to Lagos. Why can't they go back to their states where every things seems to be working fine? I believe Fashola could have done more, but first lagos residents needs to he lawful. Lagos isn't for every body! Go to other state and establish yourself! It's not the only land of opportunity! Or is it?

Dont mind the OP. its just deciet. Iyana Ipaja roads are fine. Its just that because lagos is close to the ocean, its very rainny. And people despite all efforts and warnings from the State government, keeps blocking the good drainages built by the state government with cans and bottles of plastic beverages which are largely consumed by lagosians.

When the water resides and you see the road, you will see that the road is good. FASHOLA even built a nice bustop there for pedestriants which you can see in partly in that picture.

He has had to answer his god father, yes, however, do you in your tribalistic mind think this is a problem peculiar to Lagos?

Also, with he having to answer to the said godfather, has he not done way more than other governors?

If you disagree, tell me one governor that has done better than him.

I find it hypocritical that you lot call Tinubu all sort of names and praise GEJ. If Tinubu is as corrupt as you lot claim, why has he not been jailed. Isn't that an indictment of Mr never do wrong GEJ the jerk?

OP can you be fair enough to show Oshodi as well as Obalende

Leave the PDP e-rats make dem dey yarn dust jare. Can he please show us pictures of Banana Island, Lekki and Lagos Atlantic city etc too? What about all the tarred roads in Shomolu, Bariga, Ogba Ijaiye, Ikeja etc. Go and check the works in Mushin and Oshodi also. Look at Lagos BRT, ferry and rail transportation system as well as the best bridges in the federation. These clueless people failed to realize that even America do have slums. The measure of performance should be based on the level of work done instead of expecting the whole of Lagos to be tiled in gold b4 they know that Fashola is performing. Lagosians are the cause of the dirts in lagos. If u come to Onipan when fashola just fixed the Ikorodu expressway u will marvel. Within few months some silly lagosians cut through the barb wire secruring the expressway and destroying the flower gardens in the process just because they want to cross the expressway when there are pedestrian bridges. Most places built by the government were destroyed by lagosian and the market women. People still throw dirts on the floor despite provision of waste bins. U will even see some people bringing dirts to dispose in the public waste bins and drains when it rain. Federal govt military burn BRT buses just because their govt couldn't afford one. I bet you if there was War Against Indiscipline like in the era of Buhari/Idiagbon there won't be dirts and blocked drainage as you see everywhere now.
Hatred won't make u to see the good performance of the government. U will go and look for one dirty place in lagos and use it to measure the performance of the APC government in lagos. Was PDP not the government in Lagos before lagosians kicked them out? Why will lagosians kick them out if not that their performance is below par.
It seems it is high time people start voting only in the state they come from so that when they vote in a clueless govt they will be there to bear the consequence. Some people will just come from another state to vote for one useless govt out of hatred. When the govt start destroying the state they will now park their belongings to return to their own state.... Abeg make una park well if una no get any thing to talk about.

Actually, It does look like Iyana Ipaja.

This will be just outside the garage by the foot of the bridge.

But using pictures after heavy rain to say a place is flooded is not so smart

shut ur biased and sentimental blinded lies.. i grew up in Alimosho and know the area well.. thats iyana ipaja.. and further into the ipaja/ayobo road is even a no go area especially when it rains. APC did nothing about it for more than 6years now. A pastor (RCCG) tried fixing this problem up to Abeson Gate but the crooked politicians stopped him from disgracing their incompetency.

Tell me are we not passed negotiating with politicians to do what they ought to do.. damn any politician that comes out to make promises about road, schools and water.. and damn peeps who come here to support them without justified facts.

FYI,, the PDP pics shown above are all as a result of natural disasters.. iyana ipaja, ayobo, egbeda and more are due to neglect.. do you think they care or think about u.. there main concern is settling the agberos well enough to keep u quiet. They play the ignorant to sway as they will. Thats APC

[size=14pt]I LIVE JUST BY THE NYSC CAMP.

I CAN CONFIRM THAT MAJORITY OF PEOPLE LIVING AROUND IYANA IPAJA KNOWS THIS PICTURE IS OUT OF IT.

FASHOLA AND APC HAS DONE CREDITABLY WELL IN IYANA IPAJA.

WE KNOW IYANA IPAJA UNDER ABACHA/ABDUSALAM.

WE KNOW IYANA IPAJA NOW.

Flash flood in Iyana Ipaja does not last 30 minutes after Rainfall because of its altitude compared to the big channel at Dopemu,
and the Abattoir channel at pleasure bus stop.

The biggest challenge of reducing the time lag between the flash flood recession is mainly due to the fact the the FG construction on Abeokuta Expressway under Obasanjo constructed an expressway without Proper Drainage channel.
It is only in Nigeria that Drainage Channels are not part of the design approved for construction.
I lived at Oshundairo some years back. Flood from this street and many other streets had to be channeled to Mulero bus stop, even though the closest and better Channel would have been the expressway.

The best solution is for the FG and Lagos to cooperate and make a reality Drainage channels on both sides of Abeokuta expressway.
Most flooding problems will be solved if there is this synergy.
