So sorry about what you are going through but this is kinda strange to me. I have always believed that liver failure is a life threatening ailment that needs urgent, as in very urgent attention. Your case seems very different.

You may need a second opinion from another doctor. It just doesn't sound to me like what this doctor told you is the truth.

Oga take it easy. Why are you already on the attack mode? What exactly did I say to warrant the rubbish you wrote up there? If you have the vaguest idea what chronic liver failure is, its the last thing you should wish upon yourself and you would with speed go and get a second opinion.

You don't necessarily need to be bedridden for a liver transplant. There are different stages of liver disease and you don't wait till the patient is too sick before you list them for a transplant.
It will be prudent to get more details like I have requested.

No man is an island. Nobody is self sufficient either. At some point in our life journey, we'll need shoulders to lean on, friends to talk to, people to cry and laugh with. Its all a journey. If this is your time, don't play that game, you will only be hurting you.
Nairaland knows your full names, it has your bank account details, if I go further, it has a face for the username. So, what's the big deal putting up your results if its an end to your need?

In any case, I still wish you can go for another LFT test.

I am a doctor and a gastroenterologist and hepatologist as well. I am sorry to hear about your predicament.
I don't see how there is any perceived risk in uploading your test results here.

For a start the Lab test results are just simple numbers which mean nothing to anyone who isn't medically trained or knowledgable.
I would want to see the results of your serial LFTs, FBC, clotting, U&Es, viral serology and autoimmune liver serology to mention a few so I can work out what your Child-Pugh or MELD score is.
Simply displaying a lab result or posting the numbers is in my humble opinion not a personal security risk, like someone has already pointed out, you have given bank account details and name already.

If you ask me, I would feel safer uploading my LFT test results here rather than my bank details.

If you feel you are revealing too much information you can't expect anyone to help you by 'revealing' their pockets to you.

I have had a look at these tests and i must say i have had to look at the results twice to make sure i wasn't missing anything.

Are you telling me you were diagnosed with chronic liver failure on the basis of these results?? If so then who made the diagnosis?
I would like to speak to them to find out how they came to this conclusion.

In all my years as a gastroenterologist and hepatologist I have never seen anyone with chronic liver failure present with test results like this.

The test results are not right and that is all I will say for now.
