This story does not make any sense, Just as some one has said, for you to travel to US you must have a visa, and US usually gives 2 yrs visa (B1/B2). which means u can enter any part of US and move around as long as ur visa is valid. So why the hiding? and which other paper do u need now to move around the US. Please do not try to enter the US with illegal papers i doubt if u can anyway.

Maybe your sister is just telling you that bullshit story to see if you will be discouraged, bcus she probably can not/or does not want to help you travel to US. She can not be in US and be that ignorant!!

Why are we having this conversation? Your sister has invited u to come with her to the state. She has envisaged 6 moons (months) to officiate your stay. From then, u would either start looking for job or she connect you with one. If she is bouyant enof financially, she may allow u take up studies which wil be to ur advantage. If she helps u secure the latter, you would have gained more than wat u re taing here. U can then start a job or come back home with your new cert. And u knw wat dat means for u. If you can answer these questions completely, then u go with her:
1. Is she married with a gainful job or Business abroad?
2. Is she having a full resident permit?
3. Is she sound, educated with possibility of having white and successful friends abroad?
If answers are positive, then you wil have nothing to lose whn u give up ur 70k here.
Remember the options available to u when u get there: work or school before work
weigh ur options well. Let us knw ur final decision.

I really don't understand what she meant by hiding you in the house.
For starters, the United States give two years multiple entry visa for their B1/B2 visa. At the port of entry, you are given permission to stay up to 6 months in the first instance and even if you over stay the six months, you are still free to move around as long as you don't commit any offence.
United States is a Country you can live for decades with expired travel documents as long as you don't run foul of the law that will make a cop ask for your ID. This, include ordinary traffic offences like over speeding, safety belt etc
Besides running foul of the law, no cop will ever stop you on the street or freeways to ask for your ID. So I really don't understand what she meant by "hiding" you in her house.
On jobs, yeah, because you do not have permission to work, you can get jobs that pay about $8 an hour "under the table". By the time you put in about eight hours a day and realize that after eight back breaking hours with only 30 minutes break period, that you have only made $64, then, you will be appreciative when next someone sends you a $100. You will even be more thankful to God for making you a Nigerian

Go. If things don't work out which is unlikely,you can always fine another 75k job,but you may never find this opportunity again.and don't forget she has been living there so she knows what she is doing,so if things work out,you are gonna be there hearing abbout the mess going on here in naija and ur kids could be american citizens etc.

75k job is no job. You can be sacked at anytime.

You people are funny, These things are done; My boys in US arrange Green Cards for people under the F2A, F2B EB-1, EB-3,EB-4 categories. I qualified for Green Card under EB-5. But declined it due to Tax issues.

Am surprised some people r discouraging a graduate earning a paltry 75k salary from going to the us. Even justwise who claims to be in d uk is trying to stop d op from following his dreams, d same way he discourages other people who r frustrated in nigeria from seeking greener pastures abroad.

My word for u the o.p, frm your write up, I cn infer u r a man; am sure your sister will not deceive u, take this opportunity, it comes once in a life time. 75k cannot guarantee u a bright future in nigeria, and know that nigerian economy is currently failing, therefore it will be dificult to get a better job until the economy's ouTlook changes.
Go to USA and arrange your life, u won't regret it as long as u have family support there. For crying out loud, 75k can't even get u a standard suit for god sake.

Some are being defrauded just get a Visa to the US; you got yours on a platter of gold and you are still grumbling.

If you think you can't sacrifice N75,000 just to get a presumed brighter future; reject the offer.

I dont think this sounds right... What Visa will you get to enter US? Then what papers are you waiting six months to get?

If its a visit visa, there are no papers to get even after six months... Maybe marriage or special job offering or school scholarship and some other things can be lined up during the time of the visit. But if you are at home hiding, there is nothing you will be lining up and there are no papers that will find you in hiding...

Either you are being set up to be a house slave or you are in conspiracy or lured into commiting immigration fraud...

Most things you can line up to get further visa to stay in US, require you return to your origin after a visit visa, and then commence a new visa that allows for the terms of what you have set up, such as school or work...
If its a family member immigrant visa, then its not that easy or staright forward if you are not a spouse or offspring child...
If you marry an american while there, that may work more easily yet costly, to get you papers to stay..

It sounds rather suspicious.. No need to hide if you go with legitimate visa and you are waiting for legitimate papers.. US is a free country, thats why acting like a house slave seems like prelude to immigration fraud...

Complications that can still find you back in Naija with no work, if things go wrong and you get deported..

my dear stay back and work here, there is no guaranteed job over there if u go not forgetting u will be in house arrest for 6 months, so after the 6 months what if ur sister fail to secure ur papers what next? besides u might not get a job immediately she secures the papers for u, it might still take some time to hit the ground, the question is what kind of job do u wish to do there? do u have the qualifications? please think about all these before u leap. good day to u. happy easter
