Morality is not distinctively christian neither is it islamic, morality is human it belongs to no ism. And it does not depend on any book, creed or supernatural for foundation because morality itself is a foundation.

You do not need religion to know what is moral, if you cannot distinguish between right and wrong. Then you lack empathy not religion.

Just the other day, I overheard a phone conversation a born again friend was having with her friend.
In it, she was telling her friend about a special fasting and annointing program coming up at her church.
She was confidently telling her friend that at the end of the fasting and special prayers, all her sins would be forgiven, and that should she would walk away with a clean slate.
She said it with so much alacrity, that it took a while for the shock to wear off on my mind.

Considering that this person was a serial adulterer, this is the kind of thinking that informs christian morality.
