The Bible's creative days are by no means literal 24 hour days. Sometimes wheÑ the bible uses the word "day", it refers to "a period."

For example, the day(period) when God created the animals could have lasted for many years befor he created man. Same also, the day(period) when God's created the heaven and the earth could have lasted billions of years before he started creating animals.

The Bible never said the Earth was 6000 years old. You made the error of assuming that the 'day' used in the Genesis was equivalent to earth's 24 hours. Genesis 1 verse 1 said 'in the beginning God created the heavens and earth.' Then verse 2 started with 'NOW the earth lies desolate and waste'. That indicated a period of time must have passed from when the earth came into form and when the Genesis' 'now' began.

Also, all the collective creation days were referred to as a day too. And in Peter, it referred a 1000 human years to a day in God's view.

So, please a little bit of understanding could clear a lot of popular misconceptions.

Mr man what bible or verse did u read that frm....abeg apply common sense doh I knw its not commone to get...if yur own earth occupd by u alone is 6000yrs yet metuselah lived almost a thousand years(accordin to the bible)....now do the simple maths and tell us if the differ frm inception(time of adam) and that frm metuselah to date is just a differ of 5000yrs....oga no dey read bible frm back cos bible no be quran
