Sorry oo OP.

We are watching and waiting to see what the " change " government will do to resolve the epileptic power supply that has defiled all government interventions for over 5 decades.

One of the largest oil producing country indeed, see Ghana enjoys steady power supply.

Since I was born, it has been one promise or another. Nepa, PHCN are all inefficient.

We keep paying bills, for some people to get salary, pensions, steal money, when we are not enjoying any light. People run gen daily.

We pay taxes, directly and indirectly, most of the fund end up in private individual accounts in the bank.

Most politicians are conspiring with Bank managers to do last minutes looting in direct states as we speak.

with charcoal iron.

I doubt the interview invite was from a reputable firm for him to have acted so unserious; it's likely an unsolicited invite from gnld grp and their likes....

...Btw...I suspect this Op to be the actual person involved here. smiley

Lazy duck. So we should blame PHCN. You got notice on Thursday afternoon and had say 20 hrs to look for where to iron your clothes and could not. I once had an interview at Cadbury then, same day got excused from the place where I was working, got home at Ogba, rushed to a nearby tailor shop to iron my shirt and made the interview at Agidingbi. Like someone said, the road to failure is paved with excuses.

People like him do not deserve a job and he saved the company from dealing with his seriousness.

Had he been employed, the next excuse would have been..."I miss work today because there was no light to iron my clothes'.

If he can't solve simple mundane issue like these, I will not give him a job.

Try a nearby tailor's shop: May have a coal iron. Or try a laundry man , may have generator

Don't you have a Local government Chairman? Governor?

I've been enjoying stable power since the past 4 months. If you stay in my area for 5 hours without seeing "light'' everywhere, then you're not in my area.

The total money spent on generator & fuel since January 2015 isn't up to 4k. My PC & phone has never gone OFF since January.

THANKS to GEJ.

but sweetheart! is that possible? turning electric iron to stove iron... can it still work with electricity after using it on stove?

cos since 3days we neva get light and I wanta try it 2nite cos I wanna go to church 2mrrw!

Yes it's very possible. Just don't place it directly on the stove, look for a thin layer of iron/zinc to avoid your iron melting or better still buy a fairly used iron and use it as your "stove iron".

Thank me later..

He deserves to be jobless. He had at least 18 hours to sort out something as basic and trivial as that, and he failed.
With that level of resourcefulness (or lack thereof), what could he possibly offer the workforce? undecided
