badenugba: From what I've gathered, WES is still your best option, ICAS is a long thing. What you need to do is get someone who will be helping you fast-track the processing at the school end while you try and get it by hand and send via courier 1 Like |

asfalol: 1 year is the minimum period of work experience that is required and so, you can apply. However, based on all other considerations, I think you should use the Canadatool on CIC to find out if you qualify, and check your score on the fsw scale as well to see if you will get the pass mark, before you continue unto proper application 2 Likes |

badenugba: You will have to do evaluation for your qualifications first to know it's Canadian equivalent and consequently, what marks it will fetch you under the scheme. However, my friend's HND and someone on this forum as well, was evaluated 3year Canadian diploma and one year postgraduate diploma |

Plenty people went for the interview yesterday yet nobody has posted. From hearsay I hear it was...tough. Did you use agent? Why? What's the number of chairs in your canteen? Your office address etc. People working in the same office had their answers compared. The interview was inconclusive. They said they would get back to them later. Somebody plz post your experience! 1 Like |

Blackbuddy: Can I also pay the RPRF using the online link for Express Entry? Am kind of skeptical about the online payment. It would have been the easiest option for me. Gurus in the house, please what's the implication of paying online using the Express Entry instead of the norm of using bank draft or money order? |

LadyGuinivere: Not sure why it should be tough if you say you work where you work. As for number of chairs in canteen question if truly people where asked sounds ridiculous to me. Hoping some come out with their experiences good or bad. It helps the whole group. Thanks. |

badenugba: You don't have control over what time WES requests for verification from your school and what time the requests gets to your school. I however think WES will update your account with them to show they have requested verification from your school and the date the request was sent. The need to have someone fast-track the process at the school end is for the person to be helping you monitor when the WES request gets to school, how fast it is passed on to the right office where it will be processed, and collecting it from whoever dispatches letters so he can give it to you and you can then send it to WES, it will look like its coming from school. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 6:36pm On Apr 21, 2015 |
badenugba: Don't know exactly, but if it will be classified as two qualifications of which one is 3years like i said some folk's own were evaluated to be, then it should give more marks than just a bachelor. In addition, IELTS is a big determinant of what your total EE score comes to so, you might want to see how you can give it your best shot and score highest possible. Seen a situation where a situation where getting an overall score of like 8.5 or 9 in IELTS gave an added score of 61 compared to when the IELTS was an aggregate of 7.0 so, you may try and work on IELTS as well |

badenugba: Haa wait o, I thought it's just your school sending WES tour transcript and then WES evaluates and sensends you electronic and hard copy? Which one is WES communicating with your school and your school replying them back after sending the transcript to them? Pls you guys should explain further cos I'm getting confused. I thought it's just a one time communication between the applicant's school and WES |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Meritl: 9:22pm On Apr 21, 2015 |
lavivaavril: If you apply to WES, the following occurs: 1. You have to go to your school to send your transcript to WES. 2. When WES receives the transcript, they send a message to your school for verification. WES could send the message by e-mail or by post ( usually the former). 3. After you school verifies it, they can send it back to WES by e-mail ( This is usually like a cover letter). 4. When WES receives it, they begin to work on your case and subsequent issuance of your Educational Credential Assessment. 5. It is posted to your address. All the best. |

Dear Seniors, Please, I need the detailed list of the requirements for Express Entry application. Thanks. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by lavivaavril(f): 10:09pm On Apr 21, 2015 |
Phemmie72: Hello there, you will need the following : - an evaluation of your credentials - an English test ( usually IELTS) - your NOC code and job description. You must also have at least one year full time continuous work experience in any of the jobs listed on cic. You can check your eligibility for the program too. |

Thanks a lot for the information. I need your further advice. Which document do you advise this applicant to evaluate with WES? He has OND, HND, ICAN, 1st and 2nd degrees. He had the 1st degree after 2nd degree, he used is HND and ICAN qualifications for 1st degree where he spent just two years after his master degree programme. Thanks. lavivaavril: |

Hello everyone For those in a fix as to whether to use WES or ICAS. WES is by far a better option. However, check if your school can be assessed by them I used ICAS cos my university is not assessed by WES and I must add it was terrible experience. My timeline is 6months and its no fault of my private university E&Rs |
