I don't recall her ever being knighted by the Queen...she's neither a full British citizen nor was she given an honorary one (she won't even be able to use that one publicly). And I also recall that our First Ladies don't have any title other than First Lady. So this Damehood is news to me...or is this the new way of placating people, give them non-existent titles in hopes that they would remain docile? Well, they failed with that one...

Its the right thn to do. A proper hand over is essential as thr will be no ofix of the first lady in Nigeria.

Your shame is misplaced. Why give someone a title they never earned?

Some folks do not just understand words made in context. When Buhari said he would scrap the office of First Lady, he did not say he would prevent Aisha from running or presiding over NGOs and stuffs of that nature. Aisha would still be the first lady by virtue of her relationship with the first man (Buhari) and their family would be the first family. But it wouldn't go past that. Baba won't let her run the position like a political office the way Patience did.

Dey don't have money for Education (Human Capacity building ) Buh dy got money for woman expenditure, too much emphasis on worthless things...

Who will sponsor the July event if Mama Peace leaves without holding the meeting? GMB said there will be no budget for the office of the lady. And beside Aisha Buhari is in support of her husband‘s decision to scrap the unconstitutional office of the first lady.

This shouldnt be news at all.
