PH,,less stress unlike lagos.
I agree with you in part, but the govt needs to fix the roads. If PH's population was half of Lagos, I can bet you would be getting home from work by mid-night except if your house is the next yard to your office.

Anyways, I still enjoy it pass the nonsense traffic in Lasgidi. cheesy

I am in Osun right now but I want to know why you would suggest such landlocked state as an option for people that want to live and not to die.

The image that you have shown of waste overflowing from the collection bins can be seen everywhere - ask people in NYC about how filthy that city is because of how refuse is left to fester in every corner of the city. Calabar is not even half as bad, the way you talk people will think that you describing Aba or Onitsha.

Calabar is still safe and clean, cleaner than most Nigerian cities for sure.

Tell am, what I noticed on the image is that, waste bin use to be there, maybe something happened and it's no longer there, so the people living around the area still dump refuse there.

The environment where the pic was snapped speaks for itself.

Actually, Calabar is no longer the Calabar I use to know, maybe the upcoming government will put things in order.

#Calabar my hood.

If you love the fast paced life of the upwardly mobile socially connected life with a matching nerve racking traffic at rush hours, no other comes close to Lasgidi, the center of excellence.
If you are looking for a serene environment where you can spend your days in peace, ride your bike or take a walk on the streets with calming greenery and tree shades, while soaking the beauty of the environment, Enugu, Calabar, and Uyo are your best bet.

Every other city falls in between these spectrum

I love this city! Call it the Paris of Nigeria if you like. Everything from the beauty, the people there and even the cost of living is moderate and appealing.

That's true but its comparatively cheaper if compared to Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and even Warri.

I like all of those cities.

Although when we talk about Lagos we need to divide it into mainland, island and Ikeja GRA. I like the latter two, I do not like the first.

My favourite state to live in Nigeria is Enugu.
It is a lovely state with great weather, low crime rate and good roads.
If you are looking for the quiet life, then enugu is for you.
The scenery is also great and everything you need can be found in Enugu.

2nd favourite place to live in is Calabar.
Very neat and lovely state. The weather is a little too humid for my liking and you will end up perspiring alot.
Depends on the time of the season. The state is basically a low income state. Government and tourism is the biggest source of income.
If you are a womanizer, calabar is also the place to be.

3rd favourite place: Lagos.

Lagos is like the New-york of Nigeria. High stress levels, class disparity and acceptable security. If you love the fast life then lagos is for you.
I would strongly recommend you live in the sub-urban areas and avoid in inner cities. You could stay in either ikeja, lekki, ajah or festac.
i wouldnt recommend living in any other area.

4th fav place: abuja.
i havent really lived in abuja but from my visits, it looks very good. VERY HOT WEATHER SHA!!!..... oya, the ball in ya court!
i love Enugu as a city but the attitude of the indigenes and rate of tribalism there esp against EBONYI people is just so much and it has made me to hate the city

Calabar is living on past glory..

Well.. Hope the next administration will bring back sanity.

Enugu city. Quiet and not so expensive like other cities. The city is generally well planned and beautiful except for some parts but it's only a matter of time before those places get properly developed.
I don't live there presently but have spent some time there and I visit there often.
I look forward to owning a house there. It's a good place to raise a family.

I would have mentioned Abuja since it's the capital of Nigeria but I feel that the city is too expensive for nothing (blame it on the excess money flowing in that city). Spent some months there and I just didn't like the place. Better to go and spend little money in a place like Enugu where I'll really be happy than to earn big and still spend much in Abuja with little satisfaction.

Anambra is also a good state to live in if you are looking for a state where development (especially infrastructure) is decentralized. There is hardly any remote village in that state. Most of the towns and villages have modern buildings and good roads with proper road signs. Kudos to their govt and the private individuals who have helped to bring development to their people.

But in all, Enugu city is my choice.

oooooooh..... U just made me almost cry now. I schooled in Enugu , i really love Enugu, was really lookin forward to comin bak to settle there after my youth service but i found love durin NYSC and i now live in Kaduna. Kaduna is ok sha, but meeehn i keep dreamin my husband will just wake up one mornin and ask us to pack our bags .... I really wish i could relocate to Enugu. I love dat city. Mcheeew, I am sure it will remain just a dream.

I heard about the light reliability there. It's so sad that we in the south south lack this.

plateau State
Jos is largely a well planned city with good roads, industries, and lots of good infrastructure. Its blessed with nature, rocks&hills, wildlife and beautiful land forms.
I need not say much about the WEATHER. Jos weather is next to non in the country. It is cool(a little chilly) for most of the year but be warned that it gets extremely cold in the harmattan periods.
Cost of living is fairly low. Food(meat, fruits, vegetables, grains)and other farm products are not only affordable but in abundance. Thanks to the high level of agricultural activities encouraged by fertility of soil & a generally favourable environment for this purpose.
The indigenes of the state are not an exception in terms of richness of cultural heritage. They are generally known for simplicity, friendliness and hospitality. Though some may argue that a considerable chunk of them are religiously intolerant oweing to spates of violence and insurgencies thatĀ have marred the peace in some known areas of the stateĀ in the recent past.
My assessment of this state is majorly based on my knowledge and experience of Jos-south and parts of jos-north L.G.A's because i've not gone beyond these Areas

Yeah. A little decongestion of some areas in Awka. And I think some of the roads are quite narrow which leads to hold ups sometimes (speaking based on the parts I've been to). I believe the govt will look into that.
