Pls back on track. Someone also told me that we are to expect 2nd tranche this week and we have expected for 3days now. If the info is anything to go by, then we will expect tomorrow or next. Let us not relent in prayer. Most of not all new biz have rented and have not been able to start. No landlord will understand: so the rent has run for 5 months without any biz out of 12 months paid for. Almost half of the rent gone.

I was wondering why there was no heated arguement or confrontations, with all d tension..... Glad we hav cleared our differences... its caused by d delay in 2nd trench...

Going by the advice received on this thread when 1st tranche was delayed, I managed to utilize my 1st tranche to ensure my biz start. So, my biz is already running, that is why am not perturbed as 2nd tranche is delayed as usual.
For those whose biz cannot kick off with 1st tranche, we all have to continue in prayer. We have been prayerful on this thread and God had always answer us speedily.

In addition, the present government has not been meeting all its bills as when due, largely due to falling crude oil prices, high cost of the 6 week insurgency war and election costs...it is being rumored that vast sums were spent on the elections.

My brother! the fact remains that the government is not broke and can never be broke. why should the government use public money to fund their campaigns. the last i read the electoral act, Parties fund thier campaign from thier own funds not the government funds. what was spent on elections are what was appropriated for through INEC and i dont see how that affects government business since INEC is on first line charge.

my analysis of the situation is that Youwin funds were appropriated for and no matter who takes over in 2 weeks must continue to fund the program as the appropriation act is law. government is a continuum and the next government is obligated to follow through with extant government policies.

just yesterday contract were awarded to the tune of 30 billion naira for new roads and other construction projects and i don't expect the new government to backtrack on them since government is a continuum. only recently over 156 Billion Naira was paid to oil importers for subsidy claims. so if government can fund it why cant they pay estimated 800 Million to 1 Billion for outstanding Youwin awardees who are in the process of creating jobs and real value in the economy.

please let work together and get our funds and let stop making excuses for non payment or delay in payments, Awardees who meet their milestones must get all their tranches no matter who ascend the presidency (Government is a continuum), we worked very hard for this grant and many awardees resigned their Jobs to pursue their business because they believed in it and also believed in the government. some awardees rented premises for more than 5 months now and its dormant ...they need thier second tranche to start making things work.

You said government can never be broke? Seriously?

Appropriation acts are never amended! they are laws and the government must implement. the only thing the new government can do is to bring supplementary appropriation if the current ones does not meet government obligations. Government is a continuum both in theory and practice. we must learn to keep that mindset, The incoming APC government are under obligations to implement extant government policies including the budget, and the president elect (GMB) recently said so when he said nobody should expect anything from his government until october since the 2015 appropriation act was Jonathan's and he was duty bound to implement it. he said APC economic policies will start being implemented after October. I even expect the APC government to expand the Youwin Program and maybe fund upto 3,000 new businesses every year.

on the expenses you listed, those are INEC expenses and were captured sufficiently in 2014 appropriation act and INEC being on first line charge got their money in full. Government is never broke, they have access to several funding options including Loans. The United states Government is currently owing more than 1 trillion dollars in foreign debt. the most important thing is how the economy is managed so that we dont end up like Greece.

Youwin Awardees must be paid all their tranches and i am confident that will happen. Nothing less is expected. i will advise all awardees who meet their milestones to remain hopeful as that much awaited alert will come in soon
