Why will anyone rent an office without idea of what business he wants to do?

That was the first question that popped in my mind. He could have his reasons probably maybe to tie the money down on something worthwhile but at the rate it's going, he's losing rent money every passing day. Any effort he makes now has to be expedient.

Anyways I feel he could do consulting from there or sublet the space if he cannot come up with a good idea in time. Consulting has to be in an area he is comfortable with. In all of this the size of the office space would also determine what can be done there.

Dear friend,I think i should explain something to you. In trying to establish a biz,pple always think having capital is d most important thing but rather its the knowledge of watever biz u want to venture in dat counts.
Now,U inherited a sum in my own think is nt upto #5Million,if at all is upto or nt is d most important thing. Lets assume is #5Million and u av rented a space in d sum of #1.5Million and u are avin #3.5M remaining. U avnt known wat biz to venture in and d rent is counting.
Now,guys on dis forum re suggestin for consultation which u will pay for.Mind u u re spendin ooo. U re goin to feed,transport,upkeep and co. Guy b4 u knw it,ur rent is off and u re back to square 1.

My advice for u is:
1) U av internet access on ur device either phone,Tab or system. Google out streams of biz ideas.
Have a lists of biz u can find around and even some dat re nt being practiced of which u can innovate.
2) Study dem. Stream line dem to like 5biz which u can be confortable with and of which u dnt need high sum of capital to start. If u will hear me, d biz u want to do should not more dan #20,000 to #50,000 for u to start or even less. why did i say dat,so dat wen u fail,d hardship wont be too much on u.
3) Choose a biz u can start from ur house. A biz dat wont cost much on power,transport and availability of raw materials.

After u av made ur choice, u need to go and learn from dos dat are doin it as a biz. There is no shame in learning frm illiterate fellow cos u re a graduate. As long as d person u re learnin frm is successful frm dat same biz and it a legal biz,u also can make it. There is a sayin,there no gain without goin tru pain.

So,if there is a way u can suspend d rent.I would av adviced to take ur money back.

If by the end of the year, you cannot account for N2m profit, then you have successfully failed. How many start up business can deliver N2m in 9 months (March - December)?

He can start a cafe and confectionery business in the space if it is on the ground floor where people can have coffee, yogurt, blending smoothies, cake in a cool atmosphere while browsing or chatting. He can enquire about top quality suppliers and experienced staff around that wont cost much.

I don't understand your request. Please clarify.
1. Not a business proposition. Think of it as an impasse.
2. A rough estimate (eye guage) is 30sq ft. Not conversant with measures in metres. I'll hav to confirm frm him.
3. Not a budget. An estimate of expenses SO FAR.
4. Yes, the place has been paid for and the rent is counting already.

As much as l may personally have made different choices faced with a similar decision, he did what HE DETERMINED to best in HIS CIRCUMSTANCES.

I suggest you guys should not rush into any business without proper consultation there is a lot of business he can venture into that will yield profit . it is better to start late and make gains than to start early and run into loss
