If SE and SS have some sense, this development should be opposed at all cost.

Like I always say, Yorubas need to take Ibos under our wing and assist their understanding of political turfs and tact and how the two elements are crucial for victories and dominance.

So I stand on this belief that the politically matured and savvy Yoruba should assist in pointing to the inept Ibo where political advantages exist and how to aspire for it.

I want all Ibos reading this to share with their Ezes and Ohanaeze that their inclusion in APC rulership will be very marginal and they must accept it as reality of their own informed action. To every cause there is an effect.

I also would like them to come to terms with their new role as the opposition bloc. PDP had a dry turn out in the NE and NW. The only glory PDP have for saving face is in their count in the National Assembly. If we take a poll of PDP assembly members majority are South Easterners. Therefore we can propose a similar formula as with APC and suggest power sharing in the opposition must reward support base and victories. In that case SE should get a chunk of the leadership positions in the opposition party, BoT Chairman should then go to an Iboman.

So why has it been given to an Hausa from NW where PDP just had an abysmal performance? What merits NW getting rewarded for poor performance?

The answer is simple! When it suits their temperament, PDP shares power by zone. The last BoT Chairman Tony Anenih is from SS. Before him it was Bamanga Tukur, from NE. Before that it was Obasanjo, from SW. Now they have moved it to NW.

In the just concluded election APC as a ruling party is distributing power in equity to its support base and victories....not according to zone!

BoT Chairmanship in the hands of Obasanjo produced YarAdua and succeedingly Jonathan. Obj had a plan mapped out (there's no winning against Baba Iyabo) and he unfolded it successfully.

Bamanga followed suit and would have succeeded if it wasn't for Obj rocking the PDP boat.

So in the hand of a veteran politician and power player BoT is a powerhouse of immense dimensions and it is from here that the future of PDP performance in the midterm elections and the next general elections will be shaped. PDP has inferred that it is interested in fielding a Northerner against Buhari in 2019.

What is wrong with an Ibo candidate? Ibos just delivered for PDP, when do they get their reward?

Ibos must speak up and against picking Haliru Mohammed from NW for BoT Chairman. Get an Iboman in there.

Seems everyone has their turf cut out for them, while some dominate the Economy and Banking, others dominate Politics & Governance and the rest Trade. Not to say a balance across all by all regions wouldn't be more ideal of course.

I thought the south east is now in control of pdp.

Why is the highest ranking position given to the north.

Why can't the bot chairman come from the east despite all their sacrifice.

Can pdp ever present and igbo candidate?

From what I see here, ironically there is a better chance of apc presenting and igbo candidate than for pdp to present 1.

Yet hate and tribalism has blinded the east to this fact.

They claim they don't need federal government to survivie, but their leaders are all over the place begging the federal might for positions and jobs.

Who is fooling who.

The worst thing a man can do to himself is continously tell a lie till he began to believe it.

The SE Is irrelevant in the scheme of things

Do you honestly thing in the nearest future the pdp will consider an igbo candidate.

Can you boast the northerners will even consider the SE For vp slot.

If you are going to die for something at least have a say in it.

Pdp is not a regional party and can never be a regional party.

But the people that control the party is key

If the SE is relegated in the pdp then it means there is no hope for opposition politics in Nigeria.

The north controlling pdp will never support a SE agenda. You can take that to the bank.

If they had let Secondus continue, their fate as a SS/SE regional party would have been signed, sealed and delivered !!

Some of you are too emotional and sentimental to play politics, especially national politics in the Nigerian context... To start with Bamanga Tukur was never the board chairman but party chairman at the time that the board chairman was from the south so its in line with the party's tradition of zoning an acting board chairman comes from as the acting is from the south... The fact PDP lost in north and consequently lost nationally means that for the party to win at the national it needs the same north. Making an IBO man the board chairman wI'll make PDP a regional party like Apga, and you know that means....PDP fell because the north deserted it and it to bounce back it must make in road into the north again. As sad as it may sound, the truth is that no party can do well at the national level without the north playing a major role in it.. In the recent election the whole of south south and south east voted for PDP plus more than 40% of the total vote from the west yet PDP failed so it's funny for somebody to think that making PDP a regional party for south South and south east will do it any good... So, I think the appointment is good for the party even if ethnic bigots think otherwise.

Complete load of crappy shyte you spewed out here...

Continue wallowing in your self deluded political contraption

My simple question is this, what is the total electoral value of the South East?
