I don't know if your problem is comprehension or reading, the OP clearly states that the NDLEA have obtained a warrant and have also served said warrant to his lawyer given he is holding up within his house.

It's the court who are a smack bang out of order insisting the agency relax and let the man make a run. NDLEA know if they loose him now he'll be gone forever. You can be sure any deal Buhari would strike with the US would have him as a clause

Are you sure they have an arrest warrant? The article said, they have a "provisional" arrest warrant.

The word "provisional" indicates that, they are still waiting for the real arrest warrant. You can't be holding an arrest warrant and doing a maiguard at the front door or gate of the suspect, you go in straight to take him into custody, breaking down every barracades in the process.

Else NDLEA would have broken down the gates, doors, walls and throw his behind into jail.

Imagine the lawlessness, not indulging Kashamu in the drugs, but a simple court injunction restraining NDLEA,it can't obey..

Nigeria is indeed lawless.

When citizens heralds lawlessness then impunity will continue to thrive.

NDLEA is ready to obey an extradition letter from United states but will flagrantly disobey an order from a court of competent jurisdiction from Nigeria?

Hanging around someones house for somedays without going inside the house to get him arrested is also part of the orders from united states which they are following right?

What is so complex in extradicting the alleged drug baron through the constituted legal means?

hang in there until Friday...
i don't understand this country's lawlessness and lack of order. NDLEA is working hard to enforce a foreign court order, but
"kicking against" a court order from a Nigerian High Court? and even making such st.upid statements? makes no sense.
is OBJ behind all of this? or is it GEJ trading Kashamu for a soft landing?

A law enforcer vows to brake the law... NDLEA is acting disgracefully with the latest contempt to an order of a competent court of the country in a bid to play stooge to a foreign order of a country that will not give a damn if the scenario were the other way round.
Re: NDLEA Vows To Continue Siege On Kashamu’s House by neocortex: 12:07am On May 27, 2015
Silly NDLEA acting unlawfully based on hearsay from the chief servant of US OBJ, when the court finally crush the case , some people will be shouting corruption. Even a primary school pupil knows that action without motive(in this case , law) is not different from Nollyhood acting.

Nigerian judiciary is messed up! Looks like they now google out their solutions.
Why must the judiciary stop the NDLEA from doing their job?

Ehen! Also, why must NDLEA be quick to give out a Nigerian to a foreign govt for lawsuits?
Abeg, why is it hard to bulldoze this man's property and bring him out like petroleum product?

Lol

Can the NDLEA pls appeal the judgement rather than "kick against" it

Besides..if you have a warrant of arrest, what is stopping you from forcefully entering his house...

Afterall...resisting lawful arrest is another crime.

Final shot: this only confirms why our soldiers have not been able to arrest Abubakar Shekau...cos imagine if it were Shekau in that house...would they be waiting for him to hand himself over? No sting operation? No bulldozer?
Nigerian Judiciary System needs COMPLETE OVERHAULING. When fayose of Ekiti can slap a sitting judge during a court process why wont some government parastatal "employee" show a high court judge the middle finger?.
See the ridicule!!!

Nigeria is a signatory to the treaty agreement with the US and the executive branche of government is bonded to obey that extradiction request, but there have to be an extradiction hearing for him in Nigeria, but the Nigeria judiciary does not have the authority to prevent the Nigeria executive branch from carrying out that extradiction unles during the extradiction hearing, the judiciary come to determine that, his rights will be violated if extradited.

The judge that issue that order is in the wrong here.

My guess is, NDLEA does not have an arrest warrant from a Judge yet, hence they have not broken down the barracades to taken him into custody. And they have every right to keep within close distant of the suspect until they obtain that warrant, especially if there is reasonable beliefs that, the suspect will be a flight risk.

What nonsense are you saying? If NdLEA has no warrant of arrest as you guessed, what are they doing at his premises placing him illegally under house arrest? America's request does not amount to a warrant of arrest. Only a court can issue such. And who told you a court can not prevent the executive arm of government from going ahead with implementing an extradition request? In case you don't know, the court will still have to look into the case and decide whether or not there are enough grounds to warrant his extradition. If you have followed the case closely, you would have known that the same Kashamu was once arrested in the UK for onward extradition to the US. When the case got to British court, the court held that he won't get a fair trial in USA and so, the extradition request was rejected. That's how the law works, not this kind of emotional jungle justice you people are clamouring for.

You are even more silly for not regarding the rule of law. If a competent court can be disobeyed by a law enforcement agency and you celebrate dat, It Shows the type of change you guys are bringing ur jagaban who is also know to have committed the same crime roams around the street with the so called messiah(buhari) freely.

What's with Nigeria and disobeying court order.

Bros the thing tire me o. Funny enough, the comments on this platform shows that nobody sees anything wrong with NDLEA decision to arrogantly flaunt a court order.

In as much as I support Kashamu facing his charges. In as much as I consider insult to this country having drug barons(If he is proven guilty) legislate for us, I still feel this country needs to give respect to judicial process and our general due process

Lawlessness only gives birth to anarchy. I weep for this generation

You are the silly one, you rely on rumors without evidence, have you seen anybody file a suit against Tinubu or why did kashamu refuse to visit the court on monday where a case of either he should be taken to the states or not was to hold, now you expecting NDLEA to listen to one shit, The era of impunity is over and he cant be freed cuz that would further tarnish the already dent image of the country.

The Judicial system in Nigeria has become something else o.
Even criminals will go there and get injunctions. Its just a matter of who gets to the court first.

u see your life. That's why you'll perpetually be molested by the western powers. How can fellow Nigerians ridiculously molest a free-born all for the sake of pleasing the US government? I can't imagine this is happening on our own soil. NDLEA should go get a warrant of arrest or else, they should leave the man alone.

Kashamu wants to hang on till Friday when immunity clause will start covering him for the next 4years. I just hope he has enough fuel and food to last him till Friday. Hang on ma guy, u were just hustling like most Nigerians out there(if its true that you are the real person).
We should be concerned with those who embezzled not those who hustled.
