Why Was AISHA BUHARI Absent At The Presidential Inauguration Dinner? by LegalIcon: 11:04pm On May 28, 2015
Good evening all, to say I was shocked at Nigeria's incoming first lady conspicuous absence at the just concluded Presidential inauguration dinner is an understatement. Why on earth would our President-elect attend such a gathering in which even the very old presidents-emeritus such as Shonekan n Gowon came with their eternal first ladies. With this, I feel to have 5 female ministers in GMB's cabinet will be a miracle. GMB shouldn't have attended such historic event without his darling wife. This occurence may lead to a conclusion that GMB does not believe in womenfolk. Pls, Sai Baba, change for the better!

Is there any section of the law broken by his wife's absence?
Did Nigerians vote for his wife?

The dinner is a waste of money and time. I wont be suprised if they had spent N2 Billion on the useless dinner.

In my opinion, the only 2 thing worth celebrating in Nigeria right now are the fact that the wasteful regime will be over in less than one hour and that GEJ has choosen not to force himself on Nigeria by contesting the result of the election and thereby plunge the nation into chaos.

Rubbish! I realy love him for dat we voted for and not his wife the era of first lady performing the role of president is over. Mr presido even exihited his cluelessnes dis night as he recognised his wife before vice president as if she is the second in comand.
Please leave Buhari wife alone! We have contract with her husband and not with her whatsoever or was she jointly FIELDED BY APC FOR ELECTION?

I'm not a Muslim neither does Buhari have my 100% support but if and when I become a C-in-C, I will abolish the office of the first lady.

Nigeria's woes started when we started giving regard to such silly frivolity.

Great leaders of old like Tafawa Balewa, Zik, and Murtala Mohammed never gave any regard to such rubbish. All those nonsense started with the corruption guru, IBB and climaxed during Obasanjo's dubious regime.

Just one advice for TANoids: We campaigned & supported Buhari and NOT his wife. Oh yes! he may choose to attend with his wife or without but one thing that gladdens my heart is that; Nigeria now has a President who knows the pains of majority of Nigerians.

Has any of these guys ever wondered why President Buhari has just ONE wife, even as a Moslem?

Take time to study the man; Buhari and I bet: you will love him. A new dawn is here

God bless Buhari
God bless Nigeria

I watched with astonishment as Dime Patient Jona-daft gave traditional rulers in Cross River State, staff of office! I said whaaat?! Who does that? A woman issuing staff of office to traditional rulers!

The kind of impunity exhibited by the First Lady startled a lot of people and Buhari would be foolish to allow such stupidity and we know the kind gentleman isn't foolish!

Face it guys, Buhari has come with Change and Change we must have!

Today is the day the Lord has made. You PDP people should rejoice and be glad in it.

well some of us are NOT comfortable with Muslims commentary on every of his actions including shaking hands with women, his daughters dress sense, or absence which may be connected to religious believes ... GMB will continuously be judged by that unless when he rise and openly tell fanatic Muslims that Nigeria is a secular state and he is NOT changing it to an Islamic state therefore they MUST accept him as President of a secular state

my best guess is that you guys didn't really know that the CHANGE northerners were referring to is change in religion ... I wish you understand Hausa to hear what they say about GEJ and how they behave this days around Abuja and majors cities in the north
