You nailed it !

However it is worth noting that Sharareporters do no speak for the Nigerian people.
CAMNEWTON4PRES:

Only in your wet dreams.
You know whats funny, i see nigerians calling Mugabe a dictator, but im yet to see any Zimbabwean protesting in front of foreign embassies and the UN the way Nigerians with their so called democratic leaders are doing? Do you mind telling us how your looters rotation improved your life? Is it not funny that there are thousands of Nigerians living in Zimbabwe the so called ruled by a dictator , what are they doing there? They should go and embrace their democracy back home, or you guys enjoy crying more than the bereaved despite suffering but smiling in your land? Nigerian is a democracy yet there are hundred of thousands Nigerian living in refugee camps all over the region? The brainless tout should address that human disaster in her democratic country, before pestering an elected president . Btw what's democracy ? It is a fcking political ideology based on utopia, and last time I checked the tenets of democracy made people free to choose what political system they want or fit them the best.
I'm sure the hood rat can not give us solutions to her Nigeria with no energy security, but she wants to give lessons to a president under illegal economic sanctions who managed to avoid the kind of disaster we are seeing in Nigeria . Fuel lines , food lines, internal displaced people , bombings all over the place , citizens in refugee camps .i rest my case, she should shove her democracy where the sun doesn't shine

My friend the civilized world will be laughing at the comments of typical Africans.

What those Journalists did there is great and brave.

So let me get this straight being "civilized" is to be brash, aggressive and inappropriate right? Mmmmmmmm kind of like how the US And EU are spreading civilization through war...

Why haven't his people thrown him out?

Violence, intimidation, harassment and rigging toke place.

Why haven't his people thrown him out? The same reason Iraqi or Libyans could not throw Saddam or Gaddafi out for many years

This comment highlights the real reason Nigeria and Africa as a whole is undeveloped. We have too much respect for authority hence they steal from us and enslave us.

Ameachi adviced us to stone elected officials that steal from us rather than worship them but because of our culture of respecting our leaders/elders without questions, we continue to wallow in poverty.

Which Amaechi are u talking about?

Yes, it is all about land re-distribution, as much as it is about sanctions. We just cannot exclude them.

By 1994 when he was still very much a darling of the west and a knight of the british empire, he had already spent 14 years in power. Why wasn't their a demonisation of mugabe then, I mean by the standards of most countries he had done the maximum 8 years, or 10 in the Southern-Africa region, so he should have left power.

There might have been many cases of intimidation in Zimbabwe, however the fact is, the Zanu-PF still enjoys sweeping support in Zimbabwe, same as mugabe.

* P.S, I don't support mugabe or his actions.

Many Zimbabweans vote for Mugabe for the fear of their own lives because voting for MDC is a life threatening mistake especially in rural areas where green boys and Zanu PF thugs run riot.

The opposition party members are hunted like wild animals, they spend more time in detentions especially during election than outside.

At some point there is no single newspaper allowed to publish anything contrary to herald(govt mouth peace)

Only one national television Ztv which is controlled by the govt and the opposition are not allowed to air their campaign or appear for any debate.

You know jack about Zimbabwe and Mugabe.

Nigerian outgoing president was probably still in school when that geezer took over a once beautiful country Zimbabwe he turned into a ghetto.
I saw Sesso Nguesso too in attendance. The blights on the conscience of our continent. They should have thrown flour and egg on him, Mugabe.

Many of you find it difficult to check simple fcts even online. Mugabe is their baby. He delivered them from white dominance and opression. Majority want him their. Then the reporter tlking about democracy in symbabwe, is nun. I dont even think they hve ever been ruled by the millitary! Reporter......

My humble submission

Don't mind the fuuktards.

To them the people do not matter, it is Mugabe that matters.

They are so intellectually bereft, their dignity is so battered, their self-worth so low and their mind so under-developed due to their useless historic leaders, they themselves see themselves and their kind as of low value.

No wonder they have leaders like Jonathan who did not say a word for 3 weeks after 200+ girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram murderers to be raaped and killed, did not say a single freaking, fcking word when 59 under-sixteen year old boys were shot dead in their boarding school domitory while sleeping by Boko Haram, but the same Jonathan was sympathising with France and condemning the killers within hours after 12 adult people were killed by terrorist because of Charlie Hebdo drawings.

Those are the kinds of leaders these worthless cretins deserve. The ones that think they, and their lives, do not matter.

That is crass stupidity on her part. The venue , occasion, the manner and the language deployed are totally wron. That is a very wrong way of conduct.

Which one is worse? Mugabe's refusal to allow democracy to thrive or the lady's conduct.
Some of our foolish and corrupt African leaders need to be disgraced and embarrassed in public for plunging their countries into chaos. Look at what is happening in Burundi, a country just recovering from a brutal ethnic war, all because of the greed of one man?

Look at Jonathan. As much as we used to criticize him, we still respect and appreciate him for having the singular decency to leave power peacefully for democracy to thrive. Nobody could boo Jonathan. Everyone, including APC supporters and officials gave him a round of applause.

At the risk of repeating the sounds, the Sahara Reporters' approach was rude and less smart.

I truly do not know what philosophy SR is built on, but an approach like this won't let you get results. Were the purpose to thoroughly embarrass and humiliate Mugabe and his host, then good job. But if the purpose was to get a productive dialogue and subsequent global audience, then SR obviously blew it due to their non-professionalism. It is only in a dialogic engagement with the 'dictator' that subtle wits can be employed to drive your point not in this monologic flog of tantrums.

Most people here cheering the act are obviously oblivion of the tenets of journalism.

Mugabe, as well as Sahara Reporters must learn to know when to stop lording it.

Very idiotic western paid propagandist calling herself a journalist. She was partisan in asking him to step down and embrace democracy, there was nothing journalistic about her conduct and should be banned from official presidential engagements in order not to embarrass the country further.
