Teach Us One Product You Know How To Manufacture by 400billionman: 9:10am On May 30, 2015
I have decided to venture into manufacturing this year. Selling other peoples products as a distributor will not attain my dreams fully.

I am looking at Candle production, Liquid soap, Detergent, Air freshner, Paints, Plantain chips, purewater packaging, Chalk production, custard manufacturing.

From my little knowledge in the past, these products are so easy to make, but I have never sat down to do any. Sitting on the fence is what I will stop this month. I will gradually stop selling other peoples products and fill my warehouse with mine. The advantage of being a manufactuer is that you are able to fix your price and make outstanding profit more than a distributor. Some of these products mentioned above can give you 100% profit or above. Lets get serious.

Oya, ride with me. I will definitely be teaching how to make one or two of these products. Let's make Nigeria become China..

Production of candle

With erratic power supply in the country, there is no doubt that production of candlestick is still a money-spinner. A sizeable group of Nigerians rely solely on candle to battle the erratic power supply. With N20,000 you can have a candle mould, which produces 16 candle sticks at a time and go about 50 times a day translating into 800 per day. This is a situation when you are starting with N20,000 to N25,000. To produce the 16 pieces does not take you more than 10 minutes, just melt your wax, throw it in the mould, and it congeals in 5 minutes, throw in another wax, which you must have melted, while the previous one congeals and you go on and on. So instead of starting with N100, 000 – N200, 000, you can actually start with N30,000. The startup requirements are mold, which cost about N20,000, Wax N1,000, Thread N1,000, heat source N600, Bowl, Packaging Nylons N1,500, Sealing Machine N2,000 and logistics.

Infact I went to market today and purchased paint manufacturing ingredients.

Hope paint makers don't stone me. I am still a learner. Will be mixing it myself under trial and error condition.

Re: Teach Us One Product You Know How To Manufacture by 400billionman: 9:39pm On May 30, 2015
Production of paint.

Paint making involves many reagents. Titanium is first added to water. Calcium oxide is dissolved in water. The colourite (which depends on paint color to be produced) which comes either as paste or oxide is also dissolved in small water before adding to the larger calcium solution. Of all the products we shall be looking at, paint making is the most tedious. Ingredients should be added in the order as stated to avoid explosion or blocking.

To be continued...

Introduction of chemical
These are the chemicals to be used in the production of emulsion paint<br />
1. Water
2. Titanium
3. Calcium carbonate (Calcium)
4. Colourite
5. P.V.A / Acrydext
6. Formalin
7. Nitrosol
8. Ammonia
9. Hydrosol
10. Genipour.

Added in that order. Formalin has a better substitute in the market. Marble dust is used for making texcoat.
