I call her Nairaland's misstechy because I knew her from here - the pretty tech queen got featured on Nigerian Bulleting one of the top news website today and I wanted to share it with you all.

Source: http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/misstechy-breaks-down-the-door-for-nigerian-female-tech-bloggers.113211/

When Tobi Ayeni was a banking and finance student at Covenant University in Nigeria, she used to help her friends with software problems on their laptops. She never had any formal technical training, but she soon became an expert on utilizing the Internet to find software fixes. Since she was 13 years old, she used to compete with her brothers to see who could master the latest software first. More often than not, Tobi was the one who reached the finish line first.

Instead of going into banking and finance, Tobi chose to follow her passion for software. It was that passion that led to her making the decision to become Nigeria's first high profile female tech blogger. On February 9, 2015, Tobi debuted her MissTechy blogging persona and the rest, as they say, has been history in the making.

When asked about her rise as a Nigerian female tech blogger, MissTechy says that her adventure has been "fun, frightening, and challenging." She is a tech enthusiast, so creating the content is fun, but it is frightening for her that the male-dominated world of Nigerian technology is constantly trying to test her abilities.

MissTechy is constantly getting tested by Nigerian males to see just how much she knows about software and technology. The challenge for her is to try and become a beacon of information in a male-dominated world. So far, MissTechy has been extremely successful at developing an audience and finding her voice.

One of the reasons MissTechy has been so successful is because she has been able to, in her mind, bypass the male technology agenda and find topics that are valuable and interesting to her. For MissTechy, her goal is to "change the way people think about tech" and to get more people in Nigeria interested in technology. To her, the gender of the person being introduced to technology simply does not matter. What matters to her is spreading her passion for technology to the people of Nigeria.

MissTechy lists among her accomplishments the opportunities to meet such technology celebrities as Kelvin from Android Nigeria and Elroy from Mobility. She has spent a great deal of effort building up her blogging name to create sustained traffic to her blog. She is constantly learning new SEO techniques that she is using to expand her audience and reach more people.

When asked to name the most important element of being a successful tech blogger, MissTechy belts out the motto "Content is King!" She says that she has spent many sleepless nights working on her job and making sure that she posts valuable content for her audience. She is also busy with home tasks that can take several hours out of her day, but none of it stops her from delivering new information to her audience.

Is tech blogging in Nigeria a world dominated by men? The most popular female tech blogger in Nigeria says that it is absolutely a male-dominated world. But that did not stop her from writing about what she loves and she hopes that she is able to inspire other Nigerians to get interested in technology and pursue it with the same passion she does.

Does MissTechy have any advice for new bloggers just trying to gain an audience? She says that bloggers have to be passionate about their subject or they will not be able to find the time necessary to make their blogs successful. That is good advice from a tech expert who is burning a female path right down the middle of a male-dominated world.

Admirable success, congrats to her . But most successful bloggers thrive on tasteful gossips, mostly about celebs right? How true is that?
