The thread is a haven for other ethnic groups to call Igbos all sorts of names. You claim to be Igbo and opened this thread to discourage those agitating for Biafra, yet you ignored and even supported mor0ns like omoamukoda in bashing Igbos out of context and purpose.
Now people are all over the thread insulting Igbos generally and you're rejoicing and merrying with them. What type of Igbo are you?
Have you lost your senses? Do you actually know your roots? Are you really Igbo? Even non Nigerians would ask these questions.

You don't see anything inciting but I'm riled up already.
Take for example, you were asking who Igbos were and what they stood for when the British came to Nigeria. You're Igbo, nevertheless, the Hausa/fulani centralised pre colonial system of administration made more sense to you than the egalitarian Igbos republican system. Even the whites recognised us as people naturally independent, our system was comparable with the ancient Greek democratic system. Is it that you have an inborn slave instinct or you're an Hausa-fulani claiming Igbo?
Even Yorubas insulting Igbos on this thread would also marvel at the level of your Iberiberism if actually you're Igbo.

No matter how strong you're against a decision you will never stoop so low in technically making stupid jest of your brothers. A Yoruba won't cherish our pre colonial system of government over theirs and that leaves me wondering if you're actually sane or just a jumped-up random impostor.
leave that fool called dinachi.
She is even a girl not a boy.do men talk in d manner that she does? .
that id!ot think she can succeed with her mission to destroy. .but she doesn't even know that d only people that will buy her bullsh!t are only d yorubas and imposters like her, because we d real igbos knows our self and what we are made of.go through all her comment ryt from d day she registered on Nairaland and tell be if that Clown is an igbo or a man.

You can't say this. I reside here in Lagos and I know that the mention of the word 'Biafra' sparks fire in overwhelming majority of Igbo people here, including business and land owners. We may not openingly talk about it for obvious reasons, but when the time comes for a referendum then we'll know. You don't expect us to run back East now just because of online chants. Finally be rest assured that we have no plans of drowning in the lagoon.
it was one yoruba id!ot and imposter dat was here making a noise claiming that he is igbo that i said it to so that he will run away.
and actually did run away wgen i said it because he cud not find any other claim to use and convince me.

Good morning.

I did not ask you the question.

And I think you don't need to be rude.

But to answer.....homogeneity does not necessarily equal development. That is the lesson of countries like Somalia.

Good day, and if you must oppose someone's views do it politely.

Thank you.

...Our problem is not secession. Our problem is learning how to live with other tribes in harmony while doing our businesses. Our focus should be on how to build consensus across the nation for vital political interests.

When the chips are down, we are always alone.

Another point to consider is that Nigeria has become too integrated to break up. Almost every family has in laws across their tribe. How will that be handled?

Igbo are the most integrated people in Nigeria with business interests across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Most of our people will become jobless or stay and be killed the moment a secession is declared.

Those who knew the truth will tell you that even inside Biafra there were still serious cases of tribalism and nepotism, even under the revered Ojukwu. That was why ahiara declaration became necessary to tackle these issues.

Finally, we are not ready militarily and would only be engaging in another massive waste of life if we insist on our ways.
So my people do not be deceived! Our best and only bet is to remain as law abiding citizens of Nigeria while doing our best to continue to be relevant in the scheme of things.
Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

Nice one from the op.

Sadly, many igbos, especially youths, are ignorant of the truths in bold...they try to castigate others, pretending to better than them.

Zendy's response to another Nairalander

Baba, I have read through a lot of articles that should have made me virtually empathetic to the Biafran course but I'm not. I must emphasize on the aspect of biafra which is currently treated with serious political disregard, the interests of our perceived allies and a domino of betrayals that may follow afterwards. Its rather ridiculous but I have imagined these instigators as those whose perpetual intents are to implement "forceful population control" as well as resource control on us by ensnaring us into another civil war. They step in when we are most vulnerable and seize control of what we were actually not mindful about. This does not make me pro-Nigerian either way, I have in my own little way estimated the eventual loses of the igbos in the aftermath of what may turn out to be yet another major civil unrest. Educate me further if need be

What if this is subjected to a referendum rather than making assumptions. Even if Abia was badly ruled, how does that justify the continued existence of one Nigeria where millions are presently in displaced camp, millions are on the verge of starvation as a result of unpaid salary in unviable states, the infrastructure are comatose and in dilapidated state.

Igbo's should advocate for succession of the Igbo states, if others want to join THEY will let us know, let Igbo's not include states other than the Igbo states we all know are full Igbo states.

Others may want to succeed but it does not automatically mean they want to be part of Biafra.

Igbos should not bully anyone to be Biafran just because they are a minority tribe.

I'm almost certain that the mumu Iboe you quoted actually resides outside Biafra. cheesy
Before when they post their nonsense, people will be discouraging them by saying how Biafra will never succeed and they started feeling important.
Now Nigerians have seen that all their noise about Biafra is empty, but Nigerians truly want them to go now.

Who said that all Igbos support secession?

A compromise was the move for regionalism and resource control in the confab, but the north and sw kicked against it.
Seeking secession is not a dispute, it is a right of the people, it is a noble and proud thing.

The north and SW kicked against it? are you OK? Mention ONE Eboe man at the conference that kicked for regionalism and resource control

The link below shows the position the Yorubas took
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/grant-us-regionalism-or-nothing-says-yoruba/178948/
http://dawncommission.org/news/yoruba-leaders-insist-on-regionalism-right-to-self-determination/

Instead of coming here to lie show your evidence

The reason no one takes Eboes seriously is you

LIE LIKE CHILDREN,VERY FOOLISHLY

Now I suggest you do the following exercise

Google

"igbo, demand regionalism national conference "

You will be shocked
