Well, in as much as I can say Egypt air isnt one of the best airlines, they are not that bad either. Travelled with them a couple of times during my undergraduate studies and I didn't have any problem with them. Each time my stop over is more than 5 hours, they lodged me in a very good hotel. Not just me, but that's what they do. If you can afford to pay more, then you can go for other airlines. Egypt air is not that bad! Exceptional cases do happen with any airline. I had one bad experience with KLM/Air France once too. Na God dey save and protect person from "story that touch o"

Thanks a lot. Any airline could mistakenly treat a passenger badly. Reminds me of a similar experience that happened to my mom this January with United Airlines. Thank God we left naija together because they almost left her stranded at IAH and told her she needed to wait 23hours for her connecting flight because we went through custom longer check and she was late for her connecting flight. I had to insist I wasn't leaving dor my destination if they wouldn't put her on the next available flight.

I was just reading through and i saw....people arguing about the possibility of paying your fees and surviving without bringing enough money from Nigeria. Dearest brethren 90percent of Nigerians and Africans I have meet here are paying their fees themselves with no support from anywhere. I was so confused at first because the mentality I had from here was paying your fees or surviving without input from home(Tuition wise) all by yourself is next to impossible, well my experience here totally flawed all that. There is a way around it; as a matter of fact you wont have to get yourself involved in any form of illegality provided you can work hard....well you wont even need to be told by the time you see all your room mates taking up 2 to 3 jobs closing from one job to resume for another, and having so much in their account to maintain and comfortably pay their tuition, you self go blend quick quick. And as regards the 20 hours per week for international student.....(there is a way around this too) I dont want to share how when you enter you go understand. Its nothing illegal, all i can say about that is where there is a will there is a way.... I am not encouraging anyone to go against the law because rules are rules and they are meant to be obeyed and i will never go against any myself but the funniest thing is even if you go against the minimum hours rules here and you have reasonable explanations, you wont be bounced "reasonable explanations" I have meet uncountable numbers of international students majorly Africans that came to Canada with just few months house rent and they are doing very fine. You may be thinking it could affect their them from concentrating.....you see life is so flexible here.....very very flexible. To cut the long story short, it is very very very very possible infact over possible.

Yea, on their website the third term is for Co-op placement. It is clearly stated on d website that d course has Co-op placement.
AriseOCompatrot:

Seems like "Cooperative Education" there is referring to the name of the programme and not to the availability of Co-op placement. Were you informed by the school or did you see it on their website that this course has a Co-op/Internship placement as part of the programme?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Omonjoe(m): 7:05am On Jul 04, 2015
K, Thanks. I will send them a mail on monday.
deedee0:

Request for a letter (soft copy) that explains the co-op component of ur program, from the school.
I uploaded the letter and acceptance letter in that section 'Proof of work requirement'

....My bros...sorry to say, I don't agree with the bolded statements...I want you to spit the way around it just like you said and lets see if there isn't any form of illegality involved....If you're advising peeps to come without having to pay tuition and don't wana share "how" then something is definitely shady about it.....Canada is not Nigeria where you break laws anyhow and think the government will listen to "reasonable explanation"...Muritala Airport is not far bro grin....Its best to tell peeps the harsh reality...Its very possible to pay Tuition fee in Canada but definitely not the way you stated(Can't even see none)....Since students are only allowed to work 20hr/week, how much will you save after deducting bills wey fit make man go crazy...you realize you're left with nothing.....the way around this is to work cash Job which doesn't require SIN...with cash direct job, you can definitely work more hours cuz there is no way government would know since SIN isn't involve....with this, money can be saved but again working more hours would deter you from concentrating with studies which in-turn affects school grades plus its ILLEGAL!!(A friend almost got caught doing this)....The only legal way to do this is to work Full-time during scheduled break(You can work your a$$ off and make up to $10000 within 4 months break)....This is what my classmates did....Majority all zoomed to Toronto to work their a$$ off so as to make enough money for tuition fee and other expenses....Its best to have at least two semesters tuition fee sorted out from Naija...after that, you can pay subsequent tuition fees yourself...THIS IS THE REALITY.....Canada is not heaven where everything is sure banker like baba ijebu....Jengbetiele, if you no want make people swear for you when dem land Canada to clearly see things themselves...You better tell them the Harsh truth biko grin......

Tinu, your conclusion above is a bit off-tangent. No matter how much you stamp on a cockroach, it will never spew blood. Why? Because there's no blood inside its system. Likewise, no matter the adversity on a morally upright person, he'll never resort to illegality in times of adversity. Those who will do illegal stuff in Canny will also do illegal stuff in Nigeria, Iran, New Zealand, or even in Czeckoslovakia! They will not do the illegal stuff because they ran out cash but because they have illegality inherent in their character. There are female bankers in marketing department who are sleeping with people to meet target. If those ones go to Canada, they will turn to prostitution when times of adversity arise. But there are also female bankers who aren't meeting target and who are at the verge of losing their jobs but have still refused to succumb to the temptation. If those ones go to Canny, they will not resort to illegality when adversity arises.

You stated in an earlier post that I would never agree or advice anyone who doesn't have their complete tuition for the duration of their studies to travel, with the hope of working to make up for it..... Really Please think about that for a second. That is a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY counterproductive stance. Whether it has to do with studying in Canada or getting married or building a house of applying for a job, anybody who waits for all the stars to align before making a move is not likely to amount to much in this life.

There are people who have left the shores of this country with less than a quarter of the financial requirements for their education and right now, they have their degree. How did they make it? That is what we should be striving to know. There are also people who have gone with more than hundred percent of the requirements for their education but have ended up in illegalities like drugs, yahoo runs, and the likes. How did they end up like that even after all the stars were aligned in their favour?

The very first sentence i made in my contribution to this contentious discussion was Money should NEVER be the reason why someone does not attempt something. and I stand by that 100%. Don't discourage people from pursuing their dreams because of lack of funds. When they take a step, heaven or the forces, or God (depending on your religious inclination) will take a step in support of them too.

Well said... You nailed it 100%. That Tinu weda a man or woman lacks wisdom... Sees things from only his/her point of view.

Careful with your words, bro.

No need for all that, whatever your stance in the discussion, hold your grounds and give proofs (or instances) - Name calling shld not be a way to prove your point, as a matter of fact, it says more about the kind of person you really are.

What is even more baffling is that he is newly registered, has about 5 posts and hasnt made a cogent argument for going to CA without adequate funds in any of them, save the tedious 'rightly said' or 'word' that a simple 'like' could have helped with.

My conclusion is this person is most likely a thread member with a new moniker (Think Esther, Chrisviral's alter ego). That, or just a desperate ploy to get attention.
