Olx provides a platform for people to sell their stuff online for free. I have sold on olx, just wondering what they stand to gain since they don't charge for the service.

then you are missing the whole concept of olx. Which site would offer free service without making cash. Olx have premium adverts on their site.they have adsense

Lol adsense ? How much could OLX possible make on olx compared to how much they spend on adverts ? Whats the premium about when all my ads are free ?.

I have also made some sale on olx...they probably make their money from Google AdSense,ppc,advert, the more the traffic,the more the money.

then you are missing the big picture.check attached image and see their adsense and premium ads .those ads appearing as featured are paid adverts.if you think they don't make money on adsense then you are mistaking.

Just continue to sell with time you will want your product selling faster and you will want to have them on top of other adverts Then you will know how they make money.
