HARD TRUTH 2: THIS IS HOW FAR WE HAVE COME, HENCE DON'T ALLOW YOUR QUEST FOR POWER BRING DOWN THE HOUSE YOU WILL LIVE IN TOMORROW.

Olutoyosi Omotoso Wrote.....

Few years back, In the heat of our politicking, some opposition politicians in APC (one of them is a Governor now) were sending false information to the international community about the Nigerian army.

They sent videos of Boko Haram members wearing army uniforms and beheading innocent civilians and the they claimed they were members of the Nigeria armed forces killing innocent civilians. They sent some to amnesty international, thinking they were fighting Jonathan.

Some youths in Yobe beheaded an innocent operative of DSS while those of Bornu were wearing t-shirts with inscriptions like "I love Boko haram". They refused to support the military, they were supporting their brothers. The northern elites weren't left out as they openly and covertly gave support to boko haram thinking it will further their desire to take back the presidency.

Jonathan was confused but tried to be calm.

The Bornu elders brought all sort of charges against the military and Ihejirika while they were shielding boko haram and in fact a leading northern leader once said killing boko haram fighters was injustice to the North.

Petitions fell upon petitions at Amnesty international from the Northern elements. To them, they were doing politics. Jonathan must go and it doesn't matter how we do it, power must just return to the North.

Our military was accused of human rights abuses by Amnesty International while boko haram continues to unleash terror. The military lost credibility and some of our army chiefs were threatened with prosecutions of war crime while no one asks Shekau why he is killing.

United States and her allies were compelled by a particular Leahy law not to sell sophisticated weapons to militaries with human rights abuse tags like the current Nigerian army.
All efforts by the Jonathan administration to lobby US and UK governments to sell weapons to Nigerian military fell on deaf ears while boko haram continued its killing spree in the face of our poorly armed military.

And Jonathan looked eastwards after the south African mess (also courtesy opposition politicians) and found help in China, Parkistan and Russia. But time was against him. The elections are close, the deed is done. The clueless, weak and corrupt tag stuck on him. He was labelled a failure for not being able to protect his citizens. That's politics.

He got the weapons, shifted elections by six weeks amidst all sort of mischievous allegations and the military found its rhythm and in six weeks, boko haram fell and it's armies were chased tail in legs out of sambisa forest.

And he lost the elections despite that.

Now, those who destroyed the Nigerian military in the name of politics have taken over the government. Boko haram is back in full force and those who promised to lead from the front are no where to be found.

Boko haram have been able to regroup and now controls five local governments again and our press who were very active in spreading boko haram gospel back then are suddenly quiet. It was all about Jonathan before now.

The citizens now watch helplessly as the killings continue and those who have the courage to ask questions are labelled as unpatriotic by the idol worshippers who worship men like gods.
The APC led government delegation was in America but to the surprise of some, America bluntly refused to go into arms deal with Nigeria. Those who blackmailed the Nigerian army and accused them of human rights abuses are now the ones begging US to sell arms to them.

And like I wrote yesterday that "Those who intend to live in glass houses should not throw stones while they are still living in mud houses because karma is a bitch, she respects no one"!

Serious! What prevents our military and/or the JTF from destroying every vestige of BH? We are talking about lives here. Why dallying? Or is the quickly sourcing a loan for NE rebilding more important than destroying BH? Smh
I regret to inform you that your army will never defeat Boko Haram or a similar terrorist outfit, even with all the world's most effective weapons, as long as you think defeating them is the sole responsibility of your defence and security forces. Defeating BH is a matter for all your people and government. The war against BH is only 20% military and 80% political. Not only, there will be no easy or quick victory. Stop lying to yourself Mr. Man.

Buhari has no single policy yet and you said there has been turnarounds? Buhari has not built one single power station, Buhari had nothing to do with the presently functioning refineries, Buhari has not built or rehabilitated one single road, Buhari's government is presently plunging many companies into chaos, etc. Buhari dismantled checkpoints, had boko haram suspects released and since he's been in office has not ordered a single attack against boko haram (why won't they spread again after GEJ curtailed them before election), we're presently buying food stuffs at killer prices unlike GEJ's time, Buhari already wasted billions of Naira travelling to US on tour without any meaningful thing to show for it, naira is still falling and appointments are presently going to mostly northerners. The only things that can be attributed to Buhari is his vindictive/sham corruption battle which is definitely targeted at only people who aren't close to his government and the increase in foreign reserve (but I'd rather have a working economy with little foreign reserve than have all the money there without any single growth in economy or infrastructural development).

On the other hand, GEJ, built power stations and initiated this privatization of power PHCN/NEPA, he is the reason our refineries are functioning right now, he built federal roads, built universities and schools for children up north, economic growth was recorded during his administration, many companies operated without much hassle until the oil price fall (of which they still held on), GEJ ended the ghost workers and Agricultural sector scam by OBJ, and under GEJ, massive growth was recorded in our Agricultural sector and food price didn't increase unlike now that food cost as much as gold.

It's only hate and bigotry that will make you stay blind to GEJ's achievements and then have you attribute success to someone who started terribly as a president.

What was the reason why Buhari went to the U.S.A visit OBAMA ?? Terrorism was created by the U.S government, they supplied arms to ISIS & AL Qeada to fight their corrupt president but they used the arms in killing innocent people & fighting for islamic state.

When the U.S realized their mistakes, they went to Afghanistan & Iraq to fight the terrorists the sponsored, What happened to the AMERICAN ARMY ?? THEY WERE ALL KILLED & HUMILIATED. Obama had to withdraw his foolish troops.

What happened during Goodluck Jonathan's government ?? The U.S government refused to sell arms to Nigeria, but Russian sold to Nigeria & the Boko haram were eliminated.

[color=#000000]And our president BUHARI went to visit the very president that refused to help us thinking they can fight Boko Haram, i promise you if the American Army eventually comes to Nigeria to Fight Boko Haram they will all be killed, The U.S ARMY IS VERY WEAK[/color

Sorry Mr, you're actually the one disgracing yourself because from your initial statement, you made it seem like Buhari has already done a lot without listing anything at all to show off what he did. Now I came at you, listed Buhari's numerous flaws within just 2 months in office, instead of you to counter my post with facts, you resorted to insults. I don't blame you because it's typical of your ilks and what you're all known for. Talking about spoon feeding someone intellectually, I spoon fed you twice now (even though I got insult as payback) and am hoping you'd have the common sense you desire afterwards.

We had security challenges before this administration but was it not the same Buhari who cried out that killing of boko haram is injustice to the north? How many northern emirs and others supported fight against boko haram? None. But rather the used the insecurity as a political tool to disorganize the past administration. Do you know that there were many northerners who supported boko haram (just like Buhari) in the days when they were bombing only churches and government parastatals? The fact is that they all thought all the killings will continue in that direction without it affecting their own people but alas, it got to them and they started condemning boko haram by then. You don't excuse a man who promised heaven and earth to Nigerians, condemned all actions of the previous administration but is now finding it very very difficult to kick start his own administration. It's still early and Buhari can CHANGE now else he may plunge this country into eternal woes.

GEJ has his flaws and I won't blame him because he's a human being. I would rather pray that God directs my life like GEJ directed Nigeria and may God grow my wealth like GEJ grew our GDP. May he also eliminate my enemies who want me dead the way GEJ eliminated many terrorists before the general election. May he also build my knowledge the way GEJ built schools to improve student's academics. May the good Lord rehabilitate my business like GEJ rehabilitated federal roads (that the Ota mumu abandoned), refineries, power sector, automobile and agricultural sector. May God always give me peace all through my life like GEJ gave peace to Nigerians by conceading defeat. AMEN!!!

Mind you, I stated that Buhari started poorly and that didn't mean I was comparing his 2months disaster with GEJ's administration. I only listed those things to show how shallow minded you are.

All I know is that Buhari has no idea of what to do. He doesn't know the way/path to take but refused to make appointments (so he remain the figure head he's always been in the past) on time. Even the ones he made are mostly northerners and more like a vindictive sect in the likes of the DSS head and the celeb in the likes of one of the service chiefs who only plays with snakes and does push ups for the camera while people are dying in large numbers. The disastrous moves he made by moving command base to Maiduguri, dismantling military checkpoints, release of boko haram suspects, halting attacks against boko haram members and making plans to probe the NA are already bearing fruits as boko haram has become more deadly and has spread again from Maiduguri (which GEJ curtailed it to) now to other states like Kaduna, Kano, Adamawa, Gombe, etc, yet the likes of olasmith10 still takes this man as his god.

Don't mind the guy! If not bigotry, hate and blindness judging from their perceived believe that the past administration marginalized them, Tinubu wouldn't have been able to brainwash them enough to support a man with the most disastrous 18 months in office as Nigeria's military tyrant.

I can bet you pretty soon that if Buhari appoints 90% northerners into his cabinet, these same people who's been singing his praises will all turn against him.

What happened during Goodluck Jonathan's government ?? The U.S government refused to sell arms to Nigeria, but Russian sold to Nigeria & the Boko haram were eliminated.

And our president BUHARI went to visit the very president that refused to help us thinking they can fight Boko Haram, i promise you if the American Army eventually comes to Nigeria to Fight Boko Haram they will all be killed, The U.S ARMY IS VERY WEAK
what is this one saying?
