Go to CIE website. There is a self study training registration on-going. However, the school you are working with must be registered with CIE before you can participate. During online registration, you wil be asked to give a customised e-mail ad with your school as d domain, e.g baba@laptpopschool.com. A link will be sent to this mail for activation. CIE will not accept your personal e-mail ad, d ones that have gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc as their domain.

So I went CV spamming today. By foot (lol) I was able to see a school that is holding interview tomorrow. Lucky me, I guess. Some of the impressive looking schools I saw were primary schools, although I didn't bother to drop my CV there cos I am interested secondary schools.

For the IGCSE a friend said that one is given a study pack and then does exam and submit. undecided
CIE has a webinar planned for August 13th sounds good an the fee is £49. I saw the info online.

Ça C'est bon.
Anyways, since you did B.A French, you can still continue or you do M.ed if you did B.Aed French.
Or better still, deviate to professional masters like MPIA, masters in public and international affairs or MPA, masters in public admin.

You can get these courses in unilag (MPIA ) or NOUN.
sorry for quoting you. did a nairaland search for "MPIA unilag" and i saw ur post. Please do you have an idea of the cost of its tuition fee? Thanks.

There is little or no cash in circulation. Nigerians are not smilings. Even, Boss manie advised someone not to marry with 50k...... It is not easy to be a man...it takes more that thing in between our legs.

With God nothing is impossible, if you meet the right woman your 50k may turn to 100k or more.

What did they stop? Certification? Or examination process?........I believe she meant the upcoming winter examination that normally takes place around October/November which will close tomorrow or Wednesday. An in-depth enquiry would have been better.

The certification is not what you can get at British Council, schools who want to run the programme usually get information for certification of their schools from the British Council. Training for IGSCE certification can only be gotten from accredited schools that run the IGSCE curriculum. You best bet is to get a job in a school that runs the programme, even if it may lead to a loss in pay.

That is what I finally deduced. Since we have to use d school's domain name. Wonder why more schools are listing IGCSE as an advantage on job hunt then? Anyway, for me now career advancement is d most important. I don't mind d baptism of fire that comes with it. May God help us all.

That's what i have being trying to explain and i made this known on a previous page, but why do schools look out for teachers with certification most especially where they work or coming from is not IGCSE compliant that's why i suggested British council for further details.

Stopped ke? It depends on what exactly you asked her........then those people at British council are kind of saucy especially exam officers and customer care I will suggest you make further enquiries

Well I am just seeing this, I would have loved to relay all what the lady-customer care said but it all sounded gibberish to me. For now the ordeal is where to make further enquiries, perhaps someone else can check for further info

Your best bet is to first of all get a job in a school that runs the IGSCE curriculum, it is not all schools that run IGSCE that will ask you to be certified before they employ you. Most of the schools that ask there would-be employees to be certified are not accredited by CIE, they only want to use the experiences of those employees to aid their own accreditation.

Yes me, they are vacancies in those region you mentioned.
Lagos........ is not a flexing ground but a hustling place. I remember when Golden Dr was hammering on this in previous pages requesting for member in the aforementioned places to try and always drop openings, if my memory would serve me right, Makazona was the only person that showed interest at the time and the reason was because he was looking for a job then but after he got one he has been busy with the job. how about you? you could help us with the ones in your region pending when you get a job. what do you think?

lolz.oga Sunnypar, i did my best to update the house on vacancies down here in yenagoa. But after trying and failing to get a good bargain with schools, i am now trying to fix myself elsewhere better. But i assure you that i will keep on the teaching job update from here. Others from some other state can as well do same....shout out to Great Golden Dr., Corkqueen, Givemejoy, Ofumaria, Pastordoalone, Choirmistress, LaurelP, Odunharry, Upload, avicky, Manie, xtfield, Islamics, Kendraloops, VickyHills, Queenex, Chrisdenil01, Oluemmakay, visiting Professor, Larry37, Glocee, funminicrown, 2str8, Marvelito, CaptainDo, coolhamid, bettydee, IDrock and of course, Sunnypar.

Thank you sir........I am already aware of the process its just some peeps need the info that's why I explained earlier before now that to be certified you will be given a study pack to answer and send it to them to analyze and mark which takes some months after which they will send the result all for an amount i can't remember now but you must be working in a certified school for easy processing.
@yuskanovic, @tudej for your attention

God bless you Larry37 and manie for taking out time to explain these things to us. That is IGCSE and CIE.

My friend finally explained like you did. One is given a study pack and submits d exams. So A grade schools are our best bet to get this training. Thanks.

Avicky, pls how recognised is NOUN masters in education. I have pgde (NTI) and I am not too sure Unilag accepts it(NTI). Do schools respect NOUN masters in education?
