Hi ladywriter,

After reading your thread yesterday, I registered on freelancer. I participated in two graphic competitions and waited. By almost midnight, I participated in an article writing bid for newbies. I won it, wrote my first two 500-word articles, got paid and received reviews around 2.30am this morning.

The same person just hired me for a 2,400 article which I am working on right now. The pay is not much, I got $1 for the first job and I'm getting $3 for the current job but I took your advice and I am just 'doing charity work' in order to boost my profile.

I will contact you about taking your course. I am particularly interested in eBook writing so I can boost my income level in a very short time.

is your account verified financially? If yes where you charged?

Wow! You are one blessed woman. Now, the next step is to wait for the employer to give you the second review and then after that tell him that your prices have gone up, since he can attest to the quality of your work. You will still like to work for him if he can increase it to $2 for 500 words. (it is still low at $2, but you can sharpen your skill with it) If he cannot, you are sorry, the rate is too low for you to continue. You will get better jobs now, since you have positive reviews. You will make more with e-books. I write 5,000-10,000 words e-book for like $100-300 depending on the topic . If you are good at it, you will earn more. Congrats once again!

Thanks. will there be charges if i use my local bank credit card?

Hmmm! I can't say. The verification process was not there when I opened my account. Though, I later verified with my Payoneer card since I use it mostly for withdrawals.

The moment you stop following your guts, you start living other people's lives. The original title and first post is very okay. Now it really looks more like you are running two identical threads. Have you noticed how the original thread is losing steam? I hope you achieve your goal sha.

Lady writer, I have registered on freelancer but my profile shows no description. Please how do I edit my profile so I can write it? Or do I need to create another one?

jaeik007, I used my zenith bank mastercard to register and get started. I was not prevented from bidding and working.

Hmmm! My big bro. The old title is back now. We will run the two threads concurrently. I noticed more people are visiting the main thread from here and they are really making progress, I am impressed. That is actually my goal, to help more people in this section.

Oh.... Sorry darling... There was no (f ) when I mentioned you back then.

So how far have you gone? And coaching me? Taking up the offer yet? It would be more interesting now that you are a female wink

Don't get me wrong though. I enjoy when females teach me. Kinda makes me listen more attentively. So what say you?
Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by JSayin(f): 3:26pm On Jul 30, 2015
The problem now is that I am so busy on my third project, a 1000-word article, that I might not even have time to teach anyone.

I wonder how ladywriter carves out time to run this thread 'cos when you start with Freelancer, and you are serious about beating deadlines, you will not have time to even sleep.

Maybe it will change when I become more experienced but right now, I have to pay the sacrifice to build up my reputation.

I haven't slept more than a total of 9 hours in the last two days.

This is SERIOUS WORK.

Yeah... Very serious work especially with all the plagiarism and copy scape stuff. You write off hand/off head?

You don't have to overwork yourself. Give the employer deadlines you can meet comfortably. That's what I do. Otherwise, you will have no time for yourself.

Off head. Also research on the internet to authenticate your facts.

madam lady writer...i was given 5 articles to write at the rate of 2dollars per article. it was given to me by a young lady. i suspected that she collected it and it was too much for her, so she now gave some to me. when she gave me, i told her to set milestone and she set a milestone of 4dollars. ive submitted or the articles to her because she said she wanted to check for plagiarism. She has collected it. though she complained of plagiarism and i dont even know if its true. Now she has not even released the 4 dollar milestone not to talk of paying me the ten dollars. i chatted with her and she said until when her client approves the article that i should give her like two days that she will pay. i said i will open dispute but she said i should not worry that she will pay me and give me review. Im just confused. What do you think that i should do.though its my first project.

Don't worry, she will pay. Keep bidding on other jobs and don't let it weigh you down. Don't go to dispute until after 3 or 4 days. Dispute is not always the best way to resolve a problem with your employer. Talk to them and settle things first, if it goes out of hand, then you can resolve to using it. It should be the last resort. It has a way of denting one's profile.

1) Please emmygzy, is the new job also to write 5 articles...? And what length are the articles...?
I want to negotiate a new job so I can use that piece of information from you

2) Tip for you, (I also learnt on the job)

emmygzy:
though she complained of plagiarism and i dont even know if its true.

Check the level of plaigraism yourself before submitting to anyone. Upload or copy and past your work on plagiarism-detect.com to verify. It will highlight the areas to work on so you can correct it and if an employer disputes the originality of your work, you can put your foot down and insist you authenticated it yourself.

Cheers.

dont mind me jare. I submited to her hastily, though i checked for plag. The plagiarism tool that she gave me always detect plagiarism anytime i detect plagiarism. Even the one i wrote with my brain without getting idea from anyone. I just got tired. Its like she edited it herself. E no easy sha. Like im now getting more experienced with article writing. Im building my self on 100percent free plag articles so that i wont be taking 2dollar per 500 article jobs again.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP

I registered on the freelancer site but i seem to have a lot of issues and questions.

1. Is it possible to finance my account from my GTB bank account? If No.
2. Is it Possible to Finance my payoneer card through a local bank so that i can use it to verify my account.
3. Financing bids, does it increase chances of getting the Job?
4. If Yes, by how much?
5. i am been asked to submit a proposal for each job, does it matter if i don't submit? do people get Jobs without proposals?

These are the pressing questions for now. Looking forward to your response.

Thanks

@jomoh, 1. Try it and see if it works, I verified mine with my payoneer card
2. You may need to contact payoneer's support desk to confirm
3. It has very little impact on winning bids. There are others factors that contributes to it such as quality of proposal and your reviews
4. Hmmm! Say 5%
5. There is no way you can win projects without writing proposals.

It depends on the skills you want to learn. I have a free article writing e-book on my website - alwaysonptopbiz.com. You can download it and start from there.
