Wait first, Emirates flight is like 30+ to 41 hours, depending on the one you book? Arik is begining to look desirable; Last time I used it, it was a 1hour delay at MMA but it was okay. Downside was some of the entertainment system weren't working; the one for my seat inclusive and on my return flight, the guys drinking at the bar no gree person sleep, 1 of them got drunk. Other than that my flight was smooth >_<

You are absolutely correct. It's illegal entry, I was at Hudegbe in 2011, at the border I paid 200 naira and they didn't request for my Passport. In 2007, I went to Ghana and I entered with my student ID, though it was a school event. When I filled my DS160 I didn't include any cos I have no proof. I don't have time for plenty explanation.

Travelling to Benin and not getting a stamp is very different from getting a fake stamp. If you tell me you went to Benin and it doesn't appear on your passport, I have to take your word for it. Maybe I discount that information. If you have a fake stamp, I already know that you are trying to deceive.

People who think they know what is going on need to stop giving bad advice - be honest during your interview and things will go much smoother.

Thank you so much for clarifying this. Wow! God bless

Hello guys ...congrats....to our comrades who already have visas and are about travelling. Wish yu all the best.

We still holding it out here looking for funded masters...wish is pretty difficult to come about these days.

I contacted Tennessee tech. on funding....(since I read on their site that they give funding and even engineering discipline have a 0.9 chance of getting one)

Heres what I got from the grad advisor for Mech:

Thank you for your interest in our graduate program. Our minimum requirements for international students are: GPA 3.0/4.0, GRE V+Q 298, A.W. 3.0,

IELTS 5.5, official transcripts and three letters of recommendation. We expect new graduate students to support themselves during the first year.

In as much as we do try to answer everyone's questions, but there are simple questions that you could just do a quick google search on such as 'how much is toefl'. Google would be more than willing to provide the answer.

Let us all try to ensure that we do some little homework by ourselves first before asking certain questions that we actually need not be asking and throw the more harder or complicated ones out here on this thread.

@bold...Good to know. That's exactly what I am talking about. If they do stamp at the borders, and prior applicants to the embassy who have visited Benin republic have stamps on their passports and you don't have one, that makes you stand out. That is what I was referring to originally. And you do know that entry into a country without a valid passport is illegal entry?

If the visa officer says that she or they would accept your word for it when you said you travelled to Benin Republic but you have no stamp on your passport for it, and you are able to explain the circumstances of your travel, that's fine. I mean, who am I to say otherwise.

Kee ndi bu ndi ayo?
