I didn't know whether to to be hopeful of a a near-impossible comeback. With Neyboi about and mumps-free, I would have loved to fancy our chances. But, Pedro and co leading attack and Ter Stegen looking increasingly overconfident and cocky by day, one never knows what to expect.

For us, it would be one more trophy too many but Athletic would be in dreamlands if they get their hands on it. And who would begrudge them?

Did you ever notice how Athletic players were crowded around Messi any time he got near the ball, like they were afraid he would sprint away again and score another memorable goal against them. ?? Neyboi would've been around to take away some pressure off him. Ney of course, commands attention. He would draw fouls and yellows in his wake. This gives Messi some breathing space.

I beg to disagree sir!
-Ney draws one or two players to himself, thereby giving more room for Messi as he has lesser players to worry about.
-Ney is best at running behind the last defender, giving room for Messi to send the long range diagonal final pass.
-Ney wins more fouls near the opposition box
-Ney is very good at scoring which helps the attack more.
These and more are what Neymar brings to the table which neither Pedro nor Rafinha can provide. He also knows when to be serious and be less flamboyant in games like this.

So, the job would be easier with him on the pitch.

Bro, I am the most vexed! The question I have been asking is; why now? All the while he was on holidays, it didn't show its ugly head. Why this vital period? Very annoying. Imagine, in the first leg, the left wing was totally obsolete. And it was an opportunity for the Basque side to crowd the demigod out.
