Fool, stop mentioning Anambra and its communities on your gibberish because we have nothing in common with your useless and worthless state. Focus on your silly tirades and bad roads in Imo state and leave Anambra out of it. Be warned or be ready to be pounced on this thread.

The Arondizuogu-Okigwe road is only a section of federal road that runs from Oba through many communities in Anambra State but meets Imo at Uga/Akokwa boundary running via Arondizuogu to Okigwe. Many pictures posted by some propagandists as rural roads in Anambra are from sections of the road completed by CCC but the Imo part has been on halt. That is one of the things I meant when I wrote Imo suffered for opposing Jonathan and we should welcome Buhari with open arms to right those wrongs.

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/road-lawmaker-berates-slow-pace-of-work/84431/

Inspecting some of the projects he attracted to his federal
constituency, Omeire, who represents Ideato North and
Ideato South Federal Constituency of Imo State , wondered
why the contractor had not done reasonable work on the
road, even as the Oba-Uga-Nnewi axis awarded to CCC
Construction Company was almost completed and urged
them to mobilise enough equipment on the site to meet up
with the work schedule.

According to Omeire, who also commissioned some of his
completed constituency projects, "this road is very
important for the South east. It covers Oba-Uga-Nnewi-
Akokwa-Arondizogu-Okigwe.

The road was one of the worst roads and I thought if it is
fixed, it will shorten the distance for our people going to
Enugu , Umuahia, Aba , etc."

According to Omeire, “It took alliance with all the
representatives from the South east to come together to
pursue for this road. Part one covers the Anambra axis
awarded to CCC and this one being done by Bullet
Construction Company.

"I think the construction work is very slow. I charge the
construction company to quicken action. I am using this
opportunity to call on the contractor to be serious on the
road.'’

In a bid to frustrate Okorocha, Jonathan's Government carefully starved Imo State of federal presence or in some instances used its might to frustrate State Government's efforts.

The detractors are now fighting to prevent Imo State from reaping what we have sewn in APC.

No amount of lies and blackmail can make me write against my conscience. The fight against Okorocha is spearheaded by Jonathanian Igbos who have lost out in present reality of Nigerian politics. They boasted before election that they will remove Okorocha but Jonathan was rather removed by God almighty.

I still maintain that he built over 350 schools which alone dwarfs whatever has been done by anybody in the history of Igboland. He is equally giving scholarship from primary to university. These two things far outweigh any other possible comparison.

rubbish achievements
scholarships are merely populist agendas to appear popular. of what economic benefits are they? did Igbo parents tell u they can't pay school fees?
the dunce even pay primary school students salaries as if they are almajiris being coerced to come to school. same similar foolish policies his useless counterpart in osun is doing by feeding students amala and gbegiri.

I am surprised at the level of ignorance in your write up. I am forced to assume that lack of information might have led to your hatred of Okorocha. Anyone who is not aware of classification of roads in Nigeria is as ignorant as a kindergarten pupil.

No wonder your eyes are not yet clear on what Imo suffered in the hands of Jonathan. I will dig to find when Obasanjo awarded most of these roads.

Imo: Commuters Beg
Jonathan To Dualize
Owerri-Okigwe Road

By Chidiebere Iwuoha, Owerri

In view of the untold hardship suffered by commuters who
ply the Owerri-Okigwe Federal road during Christmas and
New Year celebrations, a call has gone to President
Goodluck Jonathan to make haste and dualize the road
which has left many dead, wounded and rendered several
vehicles unfit to ply on roads.

The worst hit is the point between Atta Community, the
home town of heavy weight politician and People’s
Democratic Party(PDP) BoT Member,Chief Emmanuel
Iwuanyanwu and Akabo community, close to Amaata, the
home town of President of Pan African Parliament and
Member representing Mbaitoli /Ikeduru Federal
constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Bethel
Amadi ,both in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.

Unfortunately, the impact of the influence being wielded by
these men has not been felt on the road which gives people
sleepless nights as a result of terrible traffic jam every
year.

Those who ply these roads during such festivities always
complain bitterly that each time this jam occurs as a result
of traffic jam on the road ,people spend between two and
four hours on a road they are not supposed to stay more
than five minutes. And that when they eventually get home,
it is usually at night when people must have gone to sleep
or locked their gates.

Areas mostly affected by this problem are the neighbouring
Mbaitoli,Isiala Mbano,Onuimo,and Okigwe LGAs . The road
also serves as a link to those going and coming from Enugu,
Abia and other states in the northern part of the country.

FG Tackles Tsafa Hill, Begins 'Operation 500 Roads'RoadsBy Bennett OghifoThe turn-out at the flag-off of 'Operation 500 Roads', a novel strategy for roads maintenance in the country last Monday at the deadly Tsafa Hill stretch of the Jebba-Mokwa road drew an unpresidented large crowd, considering its location. But for the joyous songs from sonorous voices of members of the dance troupes from Kwara and Niger States, which created an atmosphere of merriment in celebration of a major conquest, the gathering at Tsafa Hill presided over by President Olusegun Obasanjo may have passed for a memorial service in honour of countless people who lost their lives trying to negotiate this short stretch. The Tsafa Hill stretch of the Jebba-Mokwa road in Niger State is a snakey road, a little short of 500 metres long, but twice as deadly. Many dreams have been broken over the years at this spot."No week passes without a report of an accident on this road reaching me," said President Obasanjo, who described the road as "a black spot in our road network..."Tsafa Hill is one of the national roads that would be aligned to take the sting from its curves. "The alignment is necessary, because this road has become a death trap," Obasanjo said. The flag-off of 'Operation 500 Roads', he said actualised government's undertaking that the nation's roads network must undergo massive and permanent improvement. "We are committed to revamping our roads decisively...of course we have started and there is no going back."Government's desire, he said was to evolve a culture of maintenance in the Ministry of Works to ensure that all roads are qualitatively maintained. The 500 roads were carefully chosen to ensure that major rahabilitation of key roads was done before the rains set in and the provision in the 2004 budget for roads bore testimony to government's resolve to maintain roads.Tsafa Hill alignment is being done by Borini Prono Construction Company, as part of the total 'Operation 500 Roads', which would be prosecuted with about N31.95 billion, said Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, who before the flag-off inspected the Ibadan-Ilorin expressway under construction. PW construction company is working on section 1 of the road, Borini Prono on section 3, while the second section would be constructed by both companies under a joint venture arrangement. The repair work on nation's roads put approximately at 26,400 kilometres, in the 500 programme, would be done mainly through direct labour with only a few done through contractors, Senator Ogunlewe said. The jobs would be supervised by each state's Federal Controller of Works who are expected to rehabilitate and maintain at least 100 kilometres of roads monthly over the next four months. The grand roads maintenance programme, Senator Ogunlewe said would in addition to keeping the Federal roads perpetually in good shape, would reduce accident rate, enhance economic activities, enhance government's poverty alleviation programme by creating jobs. The rehabilitation of roads would aid easy transformation of farm produce, goods and of people. It is expected to test and use the abundant skilled manpower within he Ministry of Works, on the job and create challenging environment for local capacity building of both the indigenous contractors and professionals. The operation's funding schedule stipulates that monthly direct labour maintenance operations per state is N4.56 billion; establishment of road camps at 30 kilometres interval on all Federal roads-N2 billion; six zonal direct maintenance bases, including workshops, stores, offices and laboratories-N1.2 billion; procurement of plant and equipment for direct labour operations, including six mobile asphalt plants and 37 mini asphalt plants-N3.64 billion; repair and maintenance of 12,000 kilometre roads-N20 billion; repair and maintenance of major bridges, including restoration of bridge lighting-N500 million; and monitoring and operational expenses N50 million. As part of the operation, he said road support service centres would be established at the areas of the former 31 toll plazas. These services, which would be provided under a government/private sector partnership, include mobile clinics, having ambulance services; restaurants, large parking area for commercial vehicles, mechanical workshops, telecommunication facilities, towing vans, rest areas, a Police Post and petrol filling stations.Roads slated for repair in the 'Operation 500 Roads' in

Rochas Okorocha looted Imo State by taking unimaginable loans from banks to the point of no return with the expectation that he will lose to Emeka Ihedioha which never happened.

The first thing he told Imolite after celebrating his victory at the poll is that Imo State government is owing him (the governor) N16,000,000,000:00

So, I believe the workers will be paid immediately Rochas gets his N16 billion first before the workers, pensioners and contractors.

It is wrong owing workers but your earlier statement is more of unprovable accusation as it was impossible for Okorocha to lose to an Ihedioha. The only way Ihedioha could have won was through rigging and violence. He rigged maximally but still lost.

To win Okorocha he needed to prove federal presence which he could not. Okorocha's campaign was simply schools and free education which the masses were direct beneficiaries.

Ihenacho actually came 2nd in that election if not for Ihedioha's inflated figures.

Do you know how much Rochas Okorocha released for sharing per polling booth?

Do you know what it cost bringing women to Stadium for Aisha Buhari, 160,000 per Bus load of village women multiple by full stadium?

Do you know how much it cost to host Buhari at a time then multiple it by 3 multiplied by N5000 to N20000 per participant depending who is who?

The above is just a tip to what Rochas poured into his re-election not to talk of amount he contributed to sponsor Buhari.

Be that as it may, Rochas can rehabilitate Owerri-Okigwe end. As it connects 2 major Imo towns. Is he not the one trying to dualise okigwe township road? Why not take it all the way to Owerri.

That is why I wonder how some of you will see the level of wickedness against us by Jonathan but still go ahead to defend him. Look at these two roads.

From Ihiala to Anara was stopped at Imo boundary and from Oba to Okigwe was stopped at Imo boundary. Isn't it obvious that they were intentional. If Obasanjo did not complete the Imo part of Owerri-Onitsha road the story would not have been different.
