The place quoted (or should i say misquoted) by the op talks of judging in the sense of discerning something, it infact states, ," he that is spiritual judges all THINGS" not all MEN!. As regards the op, even Jesus denounced the hypocrisy of the pharisees!

Matthew 7:1 does not forbid this as written in the OT:
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
Leviticus 19:17

Rather, Matthew 7:1 is clearly explained in James 4:11
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Therefore Matthew 7:1 refers to speaking evil of a person as though you knew their thoughts and intentions (quite different from slander of backbiting); uncharitable criticisms etc
