No man can ever claim to be corruptless; Even Awo! the only different is that he had the fear of God nad put the masses first, as such corruption then can be ignore.
As for Igbo don't want to put mouth for their matter, only fools don't know their nature......... wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink
masseratti:
I beg to differ in the fact that Awo served under a colonial government will dare to be corrupt, that a man bought into coca cola shares, thats good investment, I might not know the details of him being corrupt.
On the development of the Yoruba city, I think we are not aware of our surroundings,we are too obnoxious to see what is going on,everyone in this country is taking us for a ride, the Igbos in the early 80s championed the act of importation, most of the customs officers then we're Hausa/fulanis,the Yorubas has the manufacturing sector, Igbos brought in goods being manufactured by Yorubas, good that were contrabands, the Hausaa/Fulanis cared less about it allowed it to come in and Yorubas industries went comatose.
I will give you an example a recent one, under OBJ we saw many furniture manufacturing companies springing up here and there, Gej came in lift the ban on furniture items, now most of our Yoruba furniture makers, small scale, artisans and large scale have nothing to do,the Igbo importers became richer so why won't they build better houses in their side, why won't they be richer? Yoruba e je a ronu, solution is the key not fighting them.

Can you Imagine that the Mods have moved it from Politics to the travel section. Yet they left other Igbo threads in politic section like the "anambra streets are made" thread.

The effect of that is quite evident cos there is not much traffic on the travel board like we have here in politics

Ruffcoin is popular for shooting his videos predominantly in East and if it's not in East, it's outside of Africa, mostly America. If you don't know sh1t about an artist, keep your dimwitted mouth shut.

While I'm at it, the first pic is ABA and the second is ikoyi whatever, it does not take a genius to figure which one resembles the background of the video.

To be fair enough the south east has eclipse the south west in terms of building fine individual residential apartment no doubt and d only problem they av is their government negligence. Imagine Awka that has more modern buildings than ibadan but lacks behind oshogbo in terms of development. Reason being that Awka can only boost of a single dua carriage road, they don't even av an open basketball court talk more of a mini stadium despite boosting of a federal university. I expect igbo folks to come here on nairaland to come and compare the same Awka to ibadan one day when they finish their overhead bridge which willy obiano is building for them because of their ignorance. My verdict is that if no south east state can not compare with Benin city in terms of development then none of them or even combined together should come and rob shoulders with ibadan.when ibadan was emerging like most of ur state are doing now u were probably hamlets then.

This thread should be at the politics section where it was started, cos it was opened to correct the wrong perception of ibadan being spread by the ibos.

What qualified this to be moved to the travel section while the "anambra streets are made" thread and all other threads like "enugu", "imo" etc remain in the politics section?

I'll advice fair play here. Thanks

Exactly, I sometimes doubt if this forum is truly owned by a Yoruba.

Anyway its not surprising sha, the freedom of expression the Igbos are enjoying here is as a result of the liberal mindedness and accommodating nature of Yorubas generally which they, the Igbos usually albeit erroneously term as "cowardice".

This site would have turned to something else had it been it were owned by an Igbo person.

if you noticed, I edited my post cos I did see 2 buildings from ikoyi that were posted as ibadan. To tell you the truth, anyone can make a mistake. The mistake might even be on the part of the website where you linked us to, who knows?

But notice that it's only about 3 buildings, or?

It's not a mistake but a deliberately attempt. It's only three because I focused on ONE post alone and in just one alone, I found 4 from other places. If I check the other post, I can bet it'll be the same thing as well

Maybe it was labelled as ibadan in the website most of them were cropped from, who knows?

Oya clap for yourself. Out of over 100 pics, u disproofed 3.

The real fact on ground is Ibadan has more than 10 very large ultra modern residential estates and each of those estates is a large as one state in the south east. That's the point I was trying to make in my first post.

Its only people who has never visited here or passersby that think its only brown roofs we have here.

If you all will be sincere, paste skyline pics of buildings in the south east that covers a very wide area like those skyline pics of ibadan and then let's compare. Till then, all ye igbo boys have no point whatsoever.

Over 100 pics, I just went through the first two pages of this thread and the pics posted were the same as the last two pages. Give repeated pictures so many times, it's rather idiotic to classify repeated pics as "100pictures". Some of the pictures were images of the same thing aka centers. Hell nigga, you've even included a pic of a house in far away Australia. I'm not posting all desperate patheticness from you because for one, I'm already in a much more interesting conversation about biafra in politics section and I'm not about to get distracted from it .

Oh btw: before you deny the Australia pic. I got more like this, when I'm bored or lose interest in the politics convo, l come back to this.

The first 2 pages contains just about everything else you will find in the thread over. I am the Op and I originally booked space so as to copy other pics from other posters along the thread and paste it in the first two pages because most lazy nairalanders usually do not read past the first two pages.

So all you have disproof are pics of personal buildings. What about recreation, skyline, roads and all. You really don't have any point.

Meanwhile paste skyline pictures of the south east states here too so we can truly compare.

Quit trying to sound smart, stvpid hypocrite! Were you not the same person under your onenaira3 moniker who posted a music video shot at dolphin estate Lagos as Aba? Hypocrite!! The person you are attacking, vicadex07, made a mistake coz he didn't notice where the original poster, oduavanguard, said the houses and general designs were located in the SW without being specific as to where in the SW they are located. It was a honest mistake he has owned up to on his part. When are you going to own up to your bold-faced misrepresentation of Dolphin estate Lagos as Aba? ?

Since your jobless self apparently has enough time on your hands, why not start sniffing out the other pictures too. Jobless hater/e-goat.
