forlahkhe:I think at that age ur baby should be able to handle a soft brush specifically made for babies, once d teeth come out its advised to clean it twice daily. There are toothpaste for babies, just use a tiny amount |

Pls who can help me with this? It's on the back of my baby's head, what is it and what can I use to treat it? It itches as well. I have applied Shea butter and baby oil on it. Nothing. It's been there since my baby was 2 months. My baby is 5 months plus now.

shndy: Please don't try those creams without a prescription from a paediatrician or dermatologist. At least one of those is a Corticosteroid. Shawbabe, take your baby to his/her doctor. If you are unsure about what they prescribe or its not working, please go to GH Lagos Island, they have dermatologists there who are specialised in all skin infections. |

igb400: Yes, I use both for my baby. It's very good, though quite pricey. |

Shawbabe: It looks like a bruise...and it looks like what backing can cause. The constant movement of the head when the weapper is tied to the neck, causes bruising. If you dont back your baby at all. Then see a doc. If you do, stop backing her for a while, continue applying the shea, and see if there is a difference. |

Makari is good for adults, but I personally wouldnt use their baby products. Probably because when I hear Makari, my mind immediately goes to skin lightening lol. 4 Likes |

OmogeNG: My sister uses makari for her kids and the first daughter is still very dark. The difference between her and a random dark girl is the glow, her black shines - makes her skin radiate even though it's dark. I use same for my daughter and she's not oyinbo, but looking at her skin gives the impression of ajebutter. Makari baby products is good for those that can afford it. |

esteria:Please dear, stop using sudocream. Sudocream is specially formulated for nappy rash and I think it's what is aggravating the issue. It seems to me you have dried out her skin. If you have access to double base gel,you could try using it as it would protect the skin with layers while moisturising it. Then if you use soap to bath her stop using it ( soap sometimes dries out babies skin). Look for an emollient, like oilatum and use instead. It would take time, but it should work. Goodluck! |

OmogeNG:Lmao. U people won't kill me with laugh. No I have NEVER backed my baby. I don't even know how to tie wrapper, let alone tying one to back a baby. So I definitely know it's not from backing. I don't live in Lagos to be going to GH? I reside in Abuja, my pediatrician saw it b4 I returned to naija with the baby and he said it was nothing to worry about. I'm not worried about it to be honest coz it's not painful or bleeding. And I have monitored it for months, nothing has changed. I just felt that someone here had experienced it on their baby? That's why I asked. I will see anothwr pediatrician in Abuja just to be sure. Thanks mums. 1 Like |

MiracleMum: Still does not mean they are not the same...they both work against polio, and one is not stronger than the other. The OPV is even better, as it offers immunity to other members of the household, through water supply, sewage etc. The OPV also improves the intestinal lining thickness (dont know the medical term to best describe it)...the only disadvantage is the RARE post-OPV paralysis that occurs in a few people. The IPV is given when an area has been declared polio free, or is almost polio free...as it does not offer immunity tonother members of the household/community. The IPV has been suggested because there is no point risking the occurence of the post-OPV paralysis, if an area has been declared polio free. 1 Like |
