I seriously doubt you live in the U.S. If you do then most likely you are an illegal immigrant. If you really did, you would not have made that bolded statement. Say you miss Nigeria; not Nigeria is best country on earth. I miss Nigeria too, but there is no way i would equate that country with the word "best". I'd have to be insane to think like that.

Dude!

Homeboy was 100% right! Before you doubt my claim, I lived in Staten Island NY. Park Hill (NY 10306) to be precise. I had a house on Wright street / Van Duzar, not far from Stapleton (NY 10305). I moved to Canada about 2 decades ago and I'm loving it.

Unlike homeboy, If I can get just 40% of my salary gross in Naija, I will forever be happy. Why? Because Naija is the best place to live! Pure and simple!

It's only Nigerians I have seen complain about paying taxes, how else do you expect things to work functionally without taxes? You want constant electricity, but you don't want to pay taxes? You expect motorable roads, and want to evade the only means government would make money to provide such amenities?
. It's your type of person that Nigeria should avoid; physically indolent, mental shiftlessness that you possess. Wanting the best in life without working for it. Awuff lovers.

Better kukuma stay there, Nigeria doesn't need your type

Tell me why any Nigerian should pay more tax to Nigerian govt?

bro let be sincere, Nigeria is just a suck compare to USA, thou I understand what you are trying to point out, but when we are talking of good economy, cool management, security etc, I think these are are the qualities of a good country, which Nigeria has none of these, you said "if you could get a job that would pay you the amount of money you receive in US" now, convert the money that left in your pocket monthly to naira after paying bills and tell me any civil servant that receives that in Nigeria except being a politician, oil worker, sir let call a spade a spade, Yankee is a nice place to be, that's my dream land.

How I wish God hears your prayers and you get 10 years multiple visa and get a apartment in Harlem NY ! I swear you will want to go back to naija in just 12 months!

When did I tell you that?
What if I tell u dat?
Racism is worse than ethnicity in Nigeria, how many times I've u heard dat a personnel of different tribe killed each other??,some people here are evil normally, dats where u ll see dat a Yoruba killed another Yoruba or Igbo vice versa due to jealousy, dats not ethnicity
Where I think u can experience ethnicity in Nigeria is when u want to secure job

Biafra or Nigeria. I have suffered for nigeria and in return nigeria have paid me well so why leaving nigeria to go and be a slave abroad. Tufiakwa. Nigeria is my home and i love it. Am even looking for a white man or woman to be my maid and i will feed him and pay him. Yes i will do it because my blessings are in nigeria and it have manifested. This country is sweet if you find your self in my shoes. Many of my school friends who runs to uk, dubai and america are so jealous of me. They even pray to get a well paid job if they return to nigeria. Do you love freedom?? Are you a liberalist? Nigeria your country is a place you can get it. After all dangote made it here in nigeria and is been respected all over the world. Orji kalu made it. Chisco made it from bus conductor. Adenuga made it. Elumelu made it so why should i run?? Many white men are working very hard for this individuals in nigeria. If they have paradise as a country then why are they in Nigeria Biafra or Nigeria.. Full stop

Please don't forget we're talkin' 'bout best place to live and not best place to work!

A lot of people will choose Canada because of healthcare, standard of living, education, infrastructures..etc Naija docent have those but what she has is so unique that you cant see it anywhere else in the world! France is distance second in the world when it compares to Naija lifestyle.

There is an Igbo gospel song that haunted my childhood (we had a relative who was a Catholic charismatic "living with us and tormenting me with this song when my parents would be away angry)

The song has something like, "aguu agaghi agum oo, n'enuigweeee...etc"
Meaning " I would never be hungry in paradise"

To me it meant no food...
I was haunted by the fact that I would just float in heaven, singing hymns, in white apparel! embarassed Earthly living felt like a better bargain cheesy..I mean, no ice cream, no chocolate, no rice, no plantain, nothing! Who does that cry

Well I sincerely hope that is not a true picture!!! cool...or I would haaate! Lol

I still hate that song...it is outdated now though...so it is not a song one would hear all the time thankfully lipsrsealed

that a great soul lifting gospel from Brother Okwe, this song makes me to visualise heaven, ego agaghi akomoo! na eligwe, nwanne afo agaghi akomooo na elu igwe! di agaghi akomoo! na eluigwe! listening to dis song can shut down my appetite for days,
oooooh I feel like relocating to USA/paradise. no bad news like bombing, false assets declaration, no delayed governorship election in paradise.

Who jump to obama white house earlier this year or last year?? Upon all the securities in USA atrocities, killings are been recorded everyday. Upon all the america securiities did they stop osama from bombing them How many years did it take USA to kill osama thats if they have killed him?? Nigerians are so myopic lazy. Dont we have american citizens working in Nigeria?

We went to the capital city Niamey. It was beautiful but not as Abuja. They have steady electricity and their food is cheap. Am thinking of moving over there to further my football career.
Are you for real? Going to FURTHER your football career in Niger rep? That's like step backward. Niger is not even a football nation. Or did you consider furthering as playing outside Nigeria?

There's no place like the US of A, so many opportunities, so much connection but to live here is a nightmare! You have to tolerate the homos, the bigots and other racists. I can't even kill a f**king goat in my driveway and chop it up, I can't leave work to pray on Fridays because religion is not as important as management meetings and so on. So to me the best place to live is Nigeria, as long as there's money, 9ja remains a paradise!

I hope you do realize that you are a bigot too. You talk about tolerating "homos" and in the same sentence talk about bigots. If you think you are not a bigot look up the definition.

Finland or Denmark or switzerland. Not only do they rank on a higher pedestal as the happiest folks in this part of the planet, lead a comparatively better life and value every individual life, they also deem education as forming the fulcrum and core value of their very existence. Since, I'm a sucker for quality education, these countries are my preferred choice.

Additionally, imagine being paid for just breathing, for just staying alife and for doing absolute nothing. That's the new bill that has been passed into law in switzerland.
Oga, Switzerland Visa hard die to get ooo... The rarely issue visa to people, esp non-diplomatic Africans..

What happens after getting your US citizenship?
I know tonnes of people who already became US citizens and can't even use their US passports for anything. They are simply buried in their bills to think of traveling anywhere.
All they can brag about is being a US citizen, which is crap when they are stuck with working for 35-40 years in someone else's country.
They eventually return to Nigeria waiting for their social security checks and possibly be buried in their motherland when they eventually die. Many of them never own anything in Nigeria, yet their nephews and nieces own homes they built. In return, the returnees will brag again about the huge homes they have in the US, technically owned by the US banks for the 35 year mortgage they agreed to.

#10 is just the beginning of the journey bro. All the homeless people we see in the US no be US citizens? It could have being from their choices though.

Those that diligently went through the steps you highlighted to become US citizens and end up with good jobs still know modern-day slavery when they see it. They just don't complain because their home country aint any better.

You may be new to the US or just don't get the full picture yet...

I live in the US too, and I do have US citizenship as well, I just look at a bigger picture than what the system attempts to make me think.
There is really no where like home, let's keep that on our minds before getting in too deep into what the system wants us to be.

Well i can't help "those" people. A lot of people come to the U.S thinking they are still in Nigeria. Financial responsibility is key to survival. When i first arrived in the states, my first port of call was chicago. Trust naija people, there was always one owambe party every weekend or another. I used to get confused as to how they could do it. Till a trusted Ghanaian friend broke it down for me. These guys used to max their credit cards just to impress other nigerians. This is a sure way to disaster. He further told me to stay away from them. Thank God i listened. America is not Nigeria where you can spend anyhow you want and be broke for long periods and survive. You have to think before you spend. A lot of Nigerians don't. There is no hiding place here. It's all about personal responsibility and making hard choices. It did not even take me one year to stand on my feet because i made hard choices. A lot nigerians told me not to apply for my present job because of safety but i ignored them, now they are asking how i am surviving so well. I tell them what i am telling you; HARD CHOICES BRO. Leave the Nigerian mentality behind and the sky is the limit. Think like a regular Nigerian and you'll surely fail.
