If I were saraki , I would just claim that my asset declaration was a fact and that all those accounts and properties linked to me was my inheritance from my late dad after he died, after all, his father was extremely wealthy and powerful..... 2003 , my personal property, 2011, my inheritance come join the one Wey I been get full stop, after all , he is the first son
Your "legal" advice won't help Saraki. The hardened conman is also alleged to have made "anticipatory declaration" by listing properties that were not legally his at the time of the declaration but which he acquired when he became governor. The grand ole/barawo also under- declared his stupendous ill-gotten assets when leaving office as governor in 2011. Saraki's lawyers know their client is in a tight corner, that's why they tried every trick to scuttle his arraignment.

A pro-Saraki senator confided in one of our correspondents that the seat of the Senate President was not threatened because the Code of Conduct Tribunal had no jurisdiction to try Senator Bukola Saraki for any criminal offence.

He said, “The idea that members of the SUF are reaching out to pro-Saraki senators in the senate does not arise because majority of the members of the upper chamber had freely elected their presiding officers and would not be in a hurry to remove them because of any politically motivated trial by a tribunal which lacks jurisdiction to do so.

“Nobody can impeach or arrest the Senate President, and the lawyers are there to argue out the competence or otherwise of the CCT to try the case preferred against him. More than 80 senators had signed a document with which they unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their president.

“No senator had approached any of us on any issue of impeachment because they know the answer already. They cannot get 73 senators to impeach the Senate President. They are playing games and we are also ready for them. “

Abeg help me tell them!!! I am waiting to see the imaginary 12 PDP senators whom they said are in support of them!! Bunch of propagandists and lying liars!! Shebi monday is here lets see how they will impeach Saraki with their minority nos

Go to court and prove your case dear!! BTW Saraki remains as senate president.

He betrayed his Dad when he was alivew and was not in good terms with his siblings uptil now.

There is no way they will cooperate with him to that extent.

this isn't a good move..when Saraki helped APC win elections nobody new he was corrupt, now he turns against his party and suddenly he is under investigations..anyway,if he remains in the Senate, good for us,if he's removed, Ekweremadu takes over, good for us PDP also....I know the amajiris and the Afonjas will attack me

Very uninspiring.

Should saraki go (and I pray he does) I believe the pro-lawan senators will lose again.

There is only one way Saraki is going.

And that way is DOWN. He has to go down for there to be peace in our Polity, as he is overheating the polity. Saraki, before he played his betrayal game, should have done a little research about the Proverbial BANANA PEEL in the Nigeria Senate.

History will tell him, you don't go against Party Policies. Former Senate Presidents that learned what party loyalty means the hard way are Evan Enwerem, Dr. Chuba Wilberforce Okadigbo and Adolphus Ndaneweh Wabara.

The BANANA PEEL Theory is for TRAITORS like Saraki.
And surprisingly, the three of them are from the ........side. grin
