Watched a documentary on Nigeria prior to and after independence and discovered that the integrity possessed by our military then, cannot be compared to now. That you must be educated up to the level of school leaving certicate. The emphasis here is for him to prove whether he was educated up to the above mentioned level. Certificate or no certificate even a statement of result will suffice. Its just for him to prove which certificates can not be the only yardstick to do such.

The only way to keep people quiet over this,is for buhari to write to cambridge for a copy of a notification of his result,to be made available to him,and then he presents it to Nigerians. You cannot have a scandal like this,and refuse to clear it properly by providing evidence when it's easy for you to get a document to back up your defence.

If you feel strongly enough that INEC violated its own extant rules, why don't you file a lawsuit instead of convulsing all over Nairaland.

Not PDP exactly, but some constitutional lawyers and interest groups contested it.

Nobody lost any case, rather the case wasn't concluded before the presidential election. The judge in his wisdom or otherwise, postponed the case on a date after the elections. Of course, nobody wanted to pursue such case when a president already elected.

Buhari is president today because Jonathan is a gentle man. In fact, if the PDP wanted, Buhari would've been disqualified, though it would've caused some serious political problems, even lead to war. The US intelligence already simulated this using a sophisticated military software, that's why they predicted Nigeria will disintegrate by 2015. Our possible disintegration was real, not a joke!.

As someone who schooled many petulant traducers on these boards, during the entire saga, let me ask you this: do you know what a 'certifying statement of result' connotes?

Even if Buhari was interested in getting hold of an original copy of his certificate, how do you propose that he gets around the following constraint (pay attention to the statement highlighted in purple)?

Examination centres are required to keep hold of unclaimed certificates for a period of 12 months. So if you took your exams within the last year you should contact the Exams Officer at your school or college to check if they have the original certificates.

Otherwise, you will need to apply for a certifying statement of results (for 14–19 qualifications) or a replacement certificate (for vocational qualifications). The processes are different so please ensure you complete the correct form.
