Good but not good enough. Oomnne Drive road Osisioma Aba, one of the roads Abia State Government is using cement based tecnology to build. This road is nearing completion but by looking at the texture and thickness of the road though from picture perspective,I don't think this road will last for more than 15 years. My opinion, I may be wrong though.

Op did u say 15yrs, dt road can't stay beyond a year angry

let me help him out,the slabs that would be used to cover the drainage and pave way for pedestrians are being moulded Sir! The road was just opened to ease traffic congestion at Aba Owerri road.

Absolute nonsense. You cannot open a road to public use until it is properly constructed.

Haba, so sidewalk for pedestrians is now another luxury? No wonder Okupe said we don't deserve new trains!

My brother, pls visit ordinary Jamaica. You cannot see a single road built there without sidewalks and covered drains. Even in rural areas!! So long as it's a populated area, it must have those facilities. Yet their biggest exports are bananas and sensii.....!

Kingston, Jamaica. This is not even a rich area o! Just a regular busy street.

Lubbish... That cement road will not last more than a year, with the rate of heavy duty trucks that plies every nook and cranny of Aba. Go and see the silly drainage they're building along Aba-Owerri, at Umungasi market and Osisioma. It has take them more than 4 months in that drainage and work done so far is from here to there.

Tell your Governor to visit Enugu and see the quality of roads done in that state.

The annoying part of it that the contractors doing the works doesn't have LABEL.

Yeah, sullivan did a very fantastic job in terms of road construction there in Enugu metropolis. Problem is maintenance, last I visited, some of the roads are getting pretty bad, i hope the new government will look into them, Sullivan left a legacy.

Yes. It looks like a first class job in the making. What we need is a national standard for building roads in populated areas. ALL must come with the said facilities, or be rejected as incomplete.

Gbam

Imagine as wide as the drainage in the reconstructed uselu road in benin, Edo State without cover and no single pedestrian flyover. you can imagine people/uniben student cross that road. cars do fall into the drainage too

Some states I have being to don't have a single drainage in major roads let alone streets, even newly constructed roads no drainage(was there no drainage mapping in their designs, or did they not put pedestrians and other logistics in reducing accidents).
Even in Lagos where they manage to build flyover for pedestrian, some roads drainage is open(in this 21st century), while some with drainage don't have a flow point to empty it in a bigger drainage/canal

it's recently that flyover pedestrian is being remembered in some major roads in lagos
in abuja here people gets knocked down often no pedestrians bridge the ones we have here is far away from where the people are, walking like another half kilometre before you use it.

Everyone wants the one that affects him/her most to be fixed first. Are you aware of the Okono bridge under construction at Ohafia and the level of work done so far there? Dr Ikpeazu is just a humanbeing like us,give him time to work biko. Our monthly allocation is nothing to write home about but we have a governor who is incorruptible and maximizes the little he gets from the centre for the good of his people. Mehhn those contractors are very lazy...Imagine that Umungasi market, those drainages that has been under construction for the past 4-5 months now won't be allowing good trade there.
oya check Abayi-Osisioma close to covenant polytechnic, due to the rate motorist ply that road, they should even work day and night self ......OVI will be better than TAO shaa though I'm not a fan!
