Nobody is mixing up Fulanis and Shuwa Arabs okay. We all know Igbos have always had a solid amount of fairskinned people. Fulanis likely have more fairskinned people and I don't care if they are recent migrants. I'm talking about the Fulani population in Nigeria.

Lolz. Not like being lightskin is an achievement but people are so fixated on igbo skin tones.

Some of your people brag about your diversity in skintones. I don't see lightskin as a big achievement, neither do I obsess over a particular skintone. My father, sister and a slew of aunts and uncles are lightskinned with a few more family friends having a ruddy/reddish brown complexion and I'm ruddy as well, so I don't need to feel inferior about my skintone.

Fulanis have more lightskinned people and I bet other smaller groups have more lightskinned people as well. That's what I was getting at in my comment.

Well that didn't relate to my post

Besides
Don't fulani people have some Arab blood in them ?

This is a ridiculous lie. Fulanis don't have more light-skinned people than Igbos.

Both Nigerian and non-Nigerian Fulanis are generally not light-skinned.
Some people take Shuwa Arabs to be Fulanis.

from the pictures posted on one of the Fulani threads, it seems Cameroonian Fulanis tend to be light skinned although I don't know for sure.

I doubt anyone mistakes Shuwa Arabs for Fulani since they are not the same. Only an outsider would do that.

Most likely environmental factors and our genes adapting to them.
For example the sand in the East typically has a reddish hue compared to the West and North.

This picture is more representative of our color spectrum. Most are not yellow skinned, but fall within the range of both extreme.

We were made that way just as some south african tribes are naturally light skinned without admixture. Even the dark ones among us usually have warmer hues with golden or red undertones.
The issue has been overflogged though.

I still maintain a type of food tho, maybe some vitamins... I remember one Imo girl, her parent were totally dark skinned but she was light - like Monalisa Chinda light skinned
And it happens often like this with Igbos

plus the OP's narration of a full family of light skins

Mutation or a recessive gene. I've seen that a lot. Usually an ancestor would have been light skinned.
Happened in my family. I have two light skinned sisters. The rest of us are light brown. Apparently a great grandmother was very light skinned.

I think yellow Eritreans must have migrated out of East Africa for greener pasteurs and settled in Igboland hundreds of years ago.

Many half Eritrean or Ethiopian half Nigerians tend to look like yellow igbos.
The first pic is a half yoruba half ethiopian woman

Igbos are Jews, meaning that instead of originating from Africa, our ancestors came from the land of Israel. We've only had a few centuries to adapt to the climate in this part of Africa, and so our skin is not as dark as the indigenes.

Makes sense I guess

Our fore fathers were white men before they came to africa then sunlight tanned their skins.

The Jews, Europeans or both?

Possibly they are linked with white ancestors.

Enviromental (sunlight) and chemical (creams) factors could be another reason.

Maybe a combination

I really think that this issue of Igbo light-'skinnedness' is being over-flogged. Igbos are !00% West African and African, with no European admixture whatsoever. Genetic tests conducted on the Igbos have proved this time after time. It is ludicrous when people come up here claiming that they have 'white ancestry' or European ancestry. The black race is the mother of all races. Only two blacks can lay together and produce off springs of different skin complexion. No two whites can produce a black child or anything other than white. Black is a more dominant gene and white is recessive.
