Truth is bitter and the truth about the saying ‘if education is expensive, try ignorance’ is not an exception. Hence, nobody wants to remain uneducated as most opportunities, in this age, are tied to education. Yet, not everyone who gains admission into a university can afford to keep up with the demanding tuition. Public universities are known to be cheaper than all others. However, as not everyone can cope in the over-populated environment of these government schools, we bring you a list of both cheapest public and private universities in Nigeria.
Below is the list of the arguably cheapest private universities in Nigeria that are fully approved by Nigerian Universities Commision (NUC).
Note that not all of them are approved

You are not right on national open university, it is much more expensive. Aside the compulsory fees you captured, students pay a minimum of #6,000 per course as course and exam registration. This, multiply by the number of courses and added to the compulsory fees would be in the range of #70,000 or more

I left ATBU in 2008, then freshers were paying 17k and stallite 11k. No much difference till today. I'm now in Unilorin where fees is 28k wit compolsary tab fee among other things, which is 36500 making it about 64, 65k roughly.

I wonder what the OP smoked before posting this thrash. University of Maiduguri fee is way way cheaper than the UI in your list.

Most of the people here fault the list. I paid 22k last as a final year Engineering Student in Unimaid

100L = 18200
200L = 16000
300L = 19800
400L= 20100

Non science pay less.

Hit like if U rep Unimaid
