People should never forget the fact Aba is not a state capital, all other places u compare it with are state capitals. And also the worst roads in Aba itself are Federal roads, speaks volume. 3 Likes |

EasternLion:I got a wrong interpretation of how umuahia look when I passed through umuahia tower to port Harcourt, I didn't know how developed umuahia was until I visited last year. People tend to see umuahia is a remote place if they don't enter from the express. 3 Likes |

Abagworo: Port Harcourt is a massive disappoint, especially the views when you're coming in through the airport. People like to exaggerate the situation in Aba. Its still bigger than onitcha so idk about it being left behind. Umuahia is VERY underrated 4 Likes 1 Share |

These are the type of threads that should be seen regularly here on politics section not every time Igbos and tribal insults. I did enjoy the banter when pictures of different states and construction works were spranging here. There was this my Akwa Ibom friend on nairaland that we keep exchanging banters of this is better than that. These 2015 Governors look lost and have not really kicked the ground running. God bless those 2007 sets Governors, love or hate them. They all perform better infrastructure wise. 8 Likes |

Like some people have said, Aba is the way it is because it is not a state capital. I can imagine the attention hat the city would receive if it was the capital of the state. This is why we need the mayorial system whereby a mayor will be charged with the development of Aba. 3 Likes |

All federal roads from ph to the rest of igbo land are deliberately kept in an abysmal state to disconnect igbos in ph from the rest. Aba and PH suffer the most from this 2 Likes |

Ikengawo: The airport is at the outskirt of the city. The view from the airport don't look nice though but can be develop from that axis since Greater Port Harcourt is not far from which houses the new stadia and Wike seems to have bought into the vision since he has already name his own sole administrator. 3 Likes |

Afam4eva:the mayoral system is the only thing that makes sense. Cities can't be treated as priority of the state which will always favor its capital. Or worst administed at 3 or 2 local governments which makes coordinated planing impossible 2 Likes |

Enugu and Calabar are old cities that have been overtaken by the most modern architectures. Uyo, Awka, Asaba, Owerri, Umuahia and Yenogoa are newer thereby coming up with newer designs and even better infrastructures. 3 Likes |

Afam4eva:Where are you in Aba? Tell me the hotel you're lodged let me come and pick you up. I hate when someone sees the truth ans chose to lie. You were at Ogborhill and you did not notice construction work at Ukaegbu road,Emeleogu street by good morning market,Umuola and Ehere road,Obikaobia road by newumahia road? You were at faulks road and you did not notice work at umule road, owerri road by faulks road? You passed through osisioma and never noticed work at oomnne, kamalu, udeagbala? Scholes007:I never said there's no work in Aba. I said I have not seen any. Maybe I haven't moved around well enough. It's also faulty to say Aba is now a construction site as if there's construction in every nook and cranny. 2 Likes |

Ponponkon:I don't know these places that you're calling. All I know is that I stay at Ogborhill and have been. In Faulks road since morning. I even went to a place called powerline down the road where I saw an inner street being repaired. I even took a picture. Apart from that I've not seen anything. 3 Likes |

Ikengawo: Aba is same size with Onitsha urban area which includes all the towns around Onitsha like Nkwelle, Obosi, Ogbaru etc. Port Harcourt is no dissappointment. There are 2 Airports and I guess you came through Omuagwa via Igwuruta and Eneka or Rukpokwu. Next time you should use the Airport inside the city to get a good view. If you fly to Sam Mbakwe Airport which is not anywhere in Owerri your view of Owerri will be same as Omagwa. 3 Likes |
