The aforementioned CV is poorly written and designed. Unless specifically asked for, there's no need inscribe your religion, place of birth etc. The words used are trite in nature.

In as much as I recommend a well designed CV, what matters is the skills ( computer, Entrepreneurial, language), awards to an extent.
Also your email address counts, HR managers wouldn't accept an address of sexygirl@gmail.com.

Finally, it's important to read exhaustively the instructions for a vacancy. Nothing like "I don't sabi".

Since its IT, am assuming you still in higher institution.
The format should be something like this;
Name -Surname, first name
Date of birth
Contact address
Email/ tel number

Educational background
Primary- dates
Secondary- dates started and ended
University/Poly- start date to present

Places you worked and dates if any

Your goals- two lines of what you want to accomplish and what drives you.

Referees

You may put a cover letter addressed to the MD stating why you want to work with them.
your Cv format is simple

but is not suitable for a multinational company

Unless specifically requested by the HR personnel, attach the document and make sure the filename of the CV contains your name_surname or something of that nature. There is a possibility that the HR will save your CV; thus s/he needs an easy reference to look for your CV.

Attach it to your email as a word document. Try to use the latest version of MSWord. You can use pdf, as it sets your cv apart from the rest and shows that you take special care to ensure that your cv is a cut above the rest.
The body of the email itself can act as your cover letter, introducing your resume to a potential employer and showcasing your best qualities as well as your suitability for the position.

doc is compatible with the advanced versions, docx is not compatible with the lower versions of ms word. use pdf only if they specified, ur details can be spooled(if u know wat means) with ms word not pdf.

When saving a document in Microsoft Word, there is an option to save in Word 97-2003 Format, this puts in what is called "Compatibility Mode" and even for versions of MS Word that are higher than 2003, the option still works. When this is done correctly, the document won't loose it's formatting.

Also, PDFs are by default up to 8 times larger than MS Word documents of same page number, this isn't so favourable because recruiters don't want to spend time downloading large files, hence MS Word is a preferable way to send a cv.

INVESTMENT BANKING ANALYST INTERN
Your objectives should be succinct and tailored towards the industry and company you intend applying to. Every vacancy requires a different personal profile even if they are in the same industry. Don't send a CV meant for Zenith Bank to Vetiva Capital Management. Avoid prolixity.

EDUCATION
Your tertiary institution should come first. Year of graduation or expected graduation for intern-ship students.
Grade obtained. Ensure you include your grade and qualifications. If you made/have a strong 2.1(4.0 and above) include ditto, if you made a high First Class(4.7/5.0). It's your first impression, so impress.

SKILLS/ LEADERSHIP
Language skills( bilingual). Computer skills. Leadership positions. Awards and Achievements and any skill you know would be priceless to the firm. Although, if you have a whole lot of them you can make a separate section for it. Be honest as much as possible, better to have one skill than lie about many.

WORK EXPERIENCE

You are an entry level; unless you posses an array of work experiences this should come last. Where you have worked and your tasks and results. Responsibilities assigned to you and the final outcome(s).

Say, for a firm in the hospitality industry: Don't write, I was in charge of receiving guests and making them feel comfortable.
Rather, I was responsible for the environmental sanitization of the firm premises which resulted in increased customers' referral, thereby increasing profitability by 4%.

References can be on request. Unless stated, don't include religion, state of origin, relationship status. That's not the HR concern. If age is stated in the vacancy, include your date of birth. Don't write curriculum vitae at the top, everyone knows it's CV you're sending.

Lest I forget, don't shorten words like I did, write them in full.

In today's world, there is an alternative to MS Word. It's called LaTeX you can process it CV through it and it comes out as a PDF file which you can attach to an email

The highlighted is strange cos my knowledge of pdf is that it compresses the documents and make it more portable for transmission and dowloading.

I thought the same too, until I did research on it. PDF just ensures that your document isn't edited and that it can be viewed across different file opening programmes, hence the name: Portable Document Format (PDF).

Experiment on it. Save a file in MS Word Format, then use "Save As' and save that same file in PDF Format. Go to your documents, search for them and you'll see the difference in memory.

In the attached pic, those documents are the same
