JoeCutie:I don't understand what you mean by he doesn't own Nairaland anymore. As far as I know, he still owns it. We all are just here to drive traffic with our posts and everything. But at the end of the day, he kinda has the final say. Freedom of speech on Nairaland? But there has never been complete freedom of speech here. Nairaland is more or less an autocratic site where mods are constantly deleting people's 'opinions' everyday. It is part of what you signed up for when you decided to be a registered member. The funny thing is, I'm secretly gunning for biafra, for personal reasons. But the owner of the house has said he doesn't want it, so either abide by the rules or take the movement somewhere else |

What does it take to start a "B.iafra-land" site?! Why are Igbos dulling on this with all the potentials inside the idea. Na Seun get hin site and he has spoken, instead of beating your chest and stamping your feet just close your Nairaland account to spite him.....shikena 1 Like |

warrior01:We live in a democratic govt as such freedom of speech is not a crime, as such peaceful Biafra protest is allowed. I understand the ibos feel 'marginalised' & they deserve to be given a listening ear to sort out out things! In my opinions frustrations & the current harsh economy has perpetrated these agitations. Although I have a few questions: This is a supposed diplomatic dialogue as wole Soyinka suggested, which I think is the way forward 1) why do the Ibos as a tribe feel particularly singled out e.g not being allowed to produce a president. Remember; - although hausa, ibo & yoruba are majority, we have more than 300 tribes in Nigeria. In 16yrs of PDP, OBJ (Yoruba) - 8yrs, Yaradua (Fulani) - 2yrs, GEJ (Ijaw) - 6yrs, PMB (Fulani) - 4yrs 2) why do u feel the feel the federal is primarily responsible for the "marginalisation" the ibos are going through, whereas ur governors have not done their own job by efficient utilization of allocated funds? Who do you then attack for instance if Biafra is actualized, because the governors dont seem in support of the movement yet. 3) why were properties of non ibos destroyed in the process of the protest 4) Refer to picture below: 1 Like 1 Share

huh! We know those who are behind 'Biafra',they are the same people causing trouble all over the world.of all the countries & one of the country they planned to balkanize is nigeria, they started with 'bokoharam' & now they want to use 'Biafra'. They have sent their troops, mecineries & unintelligent agencies to cameroun for the final show down, incase to get 'the protest'(operation cyclone 3.0) bloody. |

Seun, do you need to tell us that you are the founder of Nairaland? Just so you know, Leaders who do not act dialogically, but insist on imposing their decisions, do not organize the people--they manipulate them. They do not liberate, nor are they liberated: they oppress. Your antecedent speaks volume. 1 Like |

Much ado about nothing from both the Igbo commenters on NL. The truth is, the inherent hate, bigotry and the glaring attempt at gagging the Igbos on this forum by Seun with this thread means nothing and will amount to nothing. Before Seun or NL was born, Biafra has been in existence and will continue to be in existence, no matter the act of hate by anybody. The Igbo commenters on this thread disappointed me with their agitation at Seun's bigotry coz for us the old members, we all know there's no freedom of speech on NL from the mods to the owner. Seun runs this place like a dictator since 2012 when I was a guest so this draconian rule didn't surprise me. NL can't kill the messengers nor the message, it can only limit it to NL only, there are hundreds of dailies carrying the Biafra news and that allow people to speak their minds without fear of a ban, so why the tantrums from the Igbo NLers? Biafra will come to pass no matter the hate, it might take years, but it'll come to fruition. It's a matter of when not how. I was born a Biafran and will die one, so a rule on NL changes nothing for me or the millions of Igbos out there in the real world pursuing this movement. So y'all quit the bytching and allow Seun to make his rules as he deems fit, it changes nothing about the Biafrans!! Cc: Safarigirl. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

SEUN is a FOOL for further trying to marginalize the Igbos. If the government cant stop Igbos from speaking, who the hell is seun to do that You place a ban on Islamic threads so non-muslims can't participate and now you want to further create a divide with pretence and trying to Polish words.
