The major constraints I see in the sack method is the ash. Pls how can one get that large quantity of ash? Is there alternative to the ash?

Since the intent is on organic so in the stead of lime, one can apply ash derive from wood burning that is the ash derive from cooking with firewood as it is valuable as a liming agent that can raise pH and help neutralize acid soils.

Fill a 20 litre bucket with ash and mix with the 5 wheelbarrows of soil and 5 wheelbarrows of manure. Mix thoroughly before them filling them in the sack. .........................

The hollow to be filled is about 3 feet high (it means one will not get fill the entire pipe).

Most of the Mama put cook with firewood thus the availability. You can make arrangement with them to keep it for you instead of disposing it. Where you cannot get ash, use 2 kg of lime those who sell agro input should have it in stock.

Not only mama put, you can get in large quantity at local bread bakeries because they use firewood every day but don't come and collect from those in my area ooooo because l have booked them lolz

When using a sack smaller than the ones l have been uploading, one can do without the stones in the middle because it is easier to have water distribute within it. Like the ones attached.

You can order the seed from aliexpress.com. There are some companies here that helps people buy things from china websites and ship them to Nigeria. e.g. Specuit cargo. Do a search of the name on nairaland. Cheers!!!

Don't forget to include ur phone number so d post office can reach u when it arrives. Also be patient cos it may take upto 60 days before it gets here or u do express shipping

The top, okay but the sides not advisable because of the weight of the tomatoes. They are way smaller sacks ideal for tomato growing as seen in the pictures.

I buy things from aliexpress and I choose free shipping which usually takes 2-3 weeks to get to me here in Ilorin FREE. My ATM card suddenly stopped payments on aliexpress so I bought from eBay for the first time, will update you when the seeds arrive

My chia seeds where shipped same day and I know before the year ends they will get here.

Your goods do not need to take up to 60 days to get to Nigeria...I have freights agents that sends my goods down to me in 1 week....All you need to do is give the supplier the address details of your courier agent there in China, and then they send it to Nigeria...The freight couriers charges differ by number of days you want your goods to arrive Nigeria...there is fast and slow shipping. Fast shipping takes just a day to get here while slow takes 3-7 days. You will need to inform and give full details to these agents before ordering...Keeping in touch is also necessary...I will drop contacts of my freight agents when I reach for my other phone. This information is what most importation expert teach for money...
